Because the availability of cells from the Big 5 manufacturers has dropped significantly while the prices went up, you maybe want to know the actual production date of your cells, just to check if you actually got what you payed for.
Older cells may deliver sub par performance or in a worst case scenario may even be used/recycled ones, which in turn can pose a serious risk.

Down below you can find a translation for the codes printed on the cells by each of the big korean and japanese manufacturers.
