Day #2.5. I keep on buying new kits and getting discouraged!

Loving the Smoketech dual coil low resistance cartomisers with my Riva 510 setup... The battery handles them fine (I know people on this thread were doubting this).... They are the bomb - I only use these.. I find Atty/tank all a bit of a pain in the ..... I also use standard resistance Boge's as well, but they are nowhere near as good as the dual coils.

Now thinking about a VV mod.... Maybe next month Hello Provari.... Hmmmmm

Love the KGO - way more vape! The dual coils are great too. I'm not finding a difference YET between the dual or reg LR cartos. Got some good flavor juices though (coffe is favorite for now, pizza goes good with beer lol, and tried the arctic wolf (OMG! So strong peppermint/mint/menthol that one small hit cleaned out my sinus' lol) planning on trying more flavors too. Finally figured out how to fill them too lol! I would never recommend the atty/tank set-up. I still think they taste like junk and I was tasting more plastic than flavor! (BTW about $350 - $400 into it after 2 weeks or so, BUT that's ok... finally liking it!) Still having about 4 or 5 analogs a day! Mostly with my coffee in the morning, one at lunch and one after work.

welcome to ecf and to vaping!! being a very newbie myself, I dont feel qualified to give advice so I leave that to the veterans here. I mostly read ..But like you, I have some problems. I got into this by trying a disposable blu cig. So , I thought..hey..this could work!! So, I ran home, bought a blu cig premium 100 starter after reading all their good reviews.. and after I got it I was really disappointed with the TH. I had trouble with too MUCH nicotine in disposables.. made me shake..so I had to go to lower nic.. but.. that being said. the cartomizers , especially vanilla, is a really great taste in the blu and the cherry, not bad.. but you cant get those in disposable..lol. someone suggested the ovale ellips, i loved the way it looked and wanted a tank. so of course, bought that too. The liquid that came with it wasnt much like cappucino but i could taste it..So I went thru ordering the hundreds of dollars worth of liquid...couldnt smell or taste them. BUT..I still had the blu which did reduce my smoking to less than 5 cigs a day from a pack. THEN.. a friend of mine found a liquid that was just 'flavor.' called tasty puff. she got it at a smoke shop but they have a website and she got spearmint and cinnamon. The spearmint, made any of those juices taste YUM!!! lol.. to me anyway, i love spearmint. the cinnamon took a few days to steep but it did the trick as well.. now, at least if i hate the juice i buy, or ..cant taste it .. i put a few drops of one of those in it. now I love the tank. that tasty puff stuff kept me vaping .. I smoked an analog for the first time last wk. when my sister was killed.. but it was more...reflex to panic than need. I am NOT telling you what to do here.. just what worked for me and somehing will work for u too if you stick with it.. I read all I can find and it iis confusing..but some ppl make more sense than others... Oh, and I got some great juices at evaporclouds. I can smell them!! they smell like what they say they are!! hang in there and let us know how it goes.

OMG Loved your post! It seems everyone is different. I was about a pack a day and found I inhaled more than hubby. He's fine with the tank/atty. I'm not. I need more flavor and more vapor. I'm actually doing pretty good. I actually had an "analog" last night that I put out cuz it tasted like ash tray (like when I first started smoking - YUK!) I guess we all just need to find what works for US! Sorry to hear about your sister! That is sooooo sad. I have to mention here you said "panic". I don't like to assume, but it sounds as though you have panic attacks???? If so, I actually wrote a book because I have anxiety and panic attacks if you're interested??? Ummmm, no. I had the same question a few days ago and have tried all of them and either I couldn't get enough of the flavor out to make it passable or I ruined the carto. I have purchased a bunch of blanks and am going to fill them with stuff I like. I will probably either throw the yuck ones out or post them on the PIF thread for free. Myfreedomsmokes has a cleaner plunger kit, but I don't' really want all of the hassle and it takes forever for them to dry.

This is a bit of a poor man's approach - considering the best way to "test" flavors is by using the drip/atty approach. But, I only put a few drops down into the carto hole and let it sit of 10 seconds then take a draw. If it is tasting good I put more fluid into the carto and let it soak up for a few minutes and test one more time. If that tastes good, I FILL'ER UP!

If at any part of that process I do not like the taste, I fill that "test" carto with my favorite vape and it masks the taste of the "test" fluid.

Google "reverse taryn spin". You can easily spin out most of the juice. The flavors will blend for a while and soon become the new flavor. But if it's a really strong flavor, nothing will get it completely out.

You have an atomizer, right? Do some research on dripping to taste your flavors. I am sure there are lots of videos on it. Also learn how to clean your atty. Usually it's good enough to blow it out really well between testing flavors. Personally, I hate dripping, and I'm not very good at it, but I do it to test my diy flavors.

I never toss a carto, unless it's burnt or DOA. There are ways to clean them as well....do some searching on YouTube and see which one fits you/your carto best.

Were you able to clean any of them? I used the steamer on my espresso maker and got one really clean, but it took forever to dry.

I tried the Reverse TAaryn Spin and that didn't work. I also boiled them and let them dry overnight. That didn't remove the flavor either. Going to try and test flavors by putting one or two drops of liquid into the atty. If the flavor rots, I'll take the suggestion above and put a flavor in I like to mask the taste until all flavor comes out so I can try another. Hope that works!
