I started with 18mg....and I had some headaches at first too. I ordered some juice in 24mg because I was a heavy smoker and figured I probably needed a higher dose. I used to get headaches from quitting analogs so maybe thats it. We'll see. It's all a guessing game at this early stage. I feel like I'm starting to settle in a bit.

I had a similar experience; On the morning of the third day after I got my Riva 510, I lit a cigarette, it tasted HORRIBLE!!! I put it out, pulled out the Riva with 18mg LF Turk-American blend, and haven't looked back.
Now I use a VV Bottom feeder, and have found a couple of small juice suppliers that I use. I still have a couple of tobacco flavors that I vape occasionally, but much prefer other flavors now (my current favorite all-day vape is Hummingbird Nectar by KBV).

It's been 3 1/2 months for me. I've hadn't had an urge for an analog in all that time until last Thursday night. I just chain vaped the urge away, it took a while. Haven't had another urge since. I don't know what caused it, but I really had the urge. My wife went out & took the car, so I couldn't go get analogs, thank God.

So, I started vaping 24 when I had the "urge" & 18 mg when I vaped mindlessly in the car & in the evening before bed. The headaches & sleeplessness are gone. I'm mostly at 18 mg now with 24 in the morning & after meals & except for Thursday, no urges or desires.

I had bouts of insomnia in the 2nd week merely because I ran out of cartos! (argh!)
I tought I read somewhere that they lasted a week....my my,was I in for a rough awakening.
Being the nOOb that I was I didnt know where to turn to get more,didnt knew I could clean the innards and refill with juice,where to get that juice,etc.
Now 3 weeks in quitting analogs I own several VPs,got like 100 fresh filed/sealed cartos and about 1 litre of juice in stock!
I read somewhere that you have to vape an igher amount of nic then your analogs gave,so I vape 24 while working and 18/11 while doing nothing (you vape more!)
Flip side is more money to get more VPs/stuff that goes with them my dog seem to like me even more and so is my bird,people at work still are puzzled by the whole thing and the commuting by bus...oh my.

I smoked for 40 years, right through my pregnancies (I know
) and breast feeding and stood in the snow and rain to smoke because I was a hopeless addict. I started vaping 15 days ago and have not had one craving for analogs.

and in two months, i upgraded like mad haha. just look at my cig n avvie n u'll knw. (and thats not all. i still have 1 or 2 pvs somewhere in the air)
I've converted strangers to ecig and am a lil more daring but only in pubs n bars. Still when i'm at a cafe, people give me the dirty look and some asked why am i sucking on a screwdriver (my satin provari with a stainless steel dual coil carto and chrome driptip lol)
and in two months, i upgraded like mad haha. just look at my cig n avvie n u'll knw. (and thats not all. i still have 1 or 2 pvs somewhere in the air)

I started with 11mg and had the headaches, too, at first. They seem to be gone now, and I still can't tell if it's from too much or too little nicotine.
Congrats murrajes. So glad it's been a smooth transition. @ LynneK, sometimes vaping/ drawing too hard on your PV will result in headaches. NOT saying this is your problem but a friend I converted was vaping 12 mg and getting headaches. I mixed some 18 mg and she found she wasn't vaping as much and the headaches went away. She was a 1 PAD smoker.

I was also told by the Vets the first 10-14 days would be a little rough and they were right. Hang in there...it does get better.

After doing all the researching I finally placed my online order for a kit and now I can't wait for it to get here so I can start vaping. I'm so sick of the smell on me and my apartment from the analogs and I am hoping for the same results. It's great to see that you can drop them right off the bat. I really hope I can do that. Congratulations on your 3 days!
Haha i would also suggest that when u start vaping, u might wanna do alot of house work including washing ur beddings and curtains an perhaps ur cushions as well. i was vaping on the 3rd day i and couldn't stand the smell of analogs on my blankets and some lingering on my curtains. =.=. (i previously smoked in my bedroom rofl.)
