dead battery?

Anyone ever have a battery just die out?
I have a fairly new battery that says it's fully charged when I charge it, but when I go to use it, it just won't work...

Anyone know what the issue could be? I don't know what to do to troubleshoot the problem.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

They just die sometimes. I've had this happen a few times. V4L has a great warranty though...all mine were replaced immediately. You just have to let them know, of course.

Helpful hint...keep lots of batts on hand. I think I have about 6 now. If one craps out on me, I'm covered. Definitely worth the investment.

Sometimes, a good and thorough cleaning will do the trick. The battery threads and air holes will get dirty and clogged. Take a pin and poke through the air holes and then moisten a cotton swab (make sure it's not too wet) with alchohol and scrub around the threads inside and out. Wipe it down really good and make sure all the alchohol has evaporated - it should work good as new. I've done this with several batteries and PT's and it works great. My original auto PT has been revived about 4 times this way and I have had it since Oct 09. Check the center post, if it's pushed down it won't make enough contact with the cartomizer to work.

I just had one die on me... I think. Fully charged only lasted about 2 hours (regular length, not an XL) and it didn't give the "charging" blink when I plugged it into either of my chargers. I'm letting it sit in the USB (which is showing a red LED) over night and we'll see.

I'm going to be very very sad if it is, indeed, dead..and sadder if the passthrough doesn't come in tomorrow. I need all three of my batts if I spend all (or most) of my day in front of the computer.

I'll see how it is tomorrow and call the guys if I have to. (maybe they'll be able to tuck the replacement - if needed - in with the order I placed tonight?)

I've gotta admit - I'm pretty down on V4L's batteries of late. And I certainly wasn't smilin' when I got today's order...

It's been my experience that they're having a spate of battery issues at present. In fact, I don't seem to even get replacements that work, last couple times right out of the package. Right now I'm down to One regular hideous multi-logo they sent as a replacement for my beloved Single Logo, and a handful of generic batteries that don't seem to want to die. Thank goodness for those! The XLs have all experienced various deaths, from never being chargeable straight from the package to bad cells within a couple weeks, to stuck switches. The regulars have, with one exception, died from bad cells - unable to hold a charge. Opening today's package was... a disappointment.

I'm sure Leaford will turn it around though. That's the downside to exponential growth - exponential problems..

I did call Mark and the said they would replace it. I use the auto XL's and I have 3, and this one just junked out on me. I'm gonna try the cleaning method as well to see if it makes it work.

yep manual one with stickey button died wont charge for me no more only got 30 days use out of it. glad i bought the xl as it came in as a back up or i would be down to only one battery guess on next order ill ask for a replacement or do i need to email ya'll ??

I did. I got more bad batteries. So I made a large order I didn't need, and - they sent me more bad batteries.

So I've kinda given up on their batteries for now.

I've had the weekend from hell with this dead battery issue - if you can believe it, I use Greensmoke E9 batteries, have four of them - THEY ALL FOUR COMPLETELY died over the course of two days! I have none left now! Thank goodness I have one back up KR808D, but still - I'm really disgusted with the E9 - it does make nice vapor, easy to use, but the battery life is crappy, and I've had over the past three months ten different E9 batteries that have all died. The batteries were from e-cig and Greensmoke ....

I would just give up the e9's completely - but I have a boat-load of carts for them (over 100) so I can't just stop using them. Does anyone know of a good E9 (also called Looongtutom..something like that)... that doesn't cost a fortune like Greensmoke? the E-cig ones died after just a few weeks and I sent them back to china over a month ago and they have yet to replace them...their customer service is pretty bad. I wouldn't buy from them again.

If anyone has a good source for E9 batteries?(not KD808D - they look the same but threads are different and you can't use KD808D carts with an E9)

You'll probably have better luck posting in a sub-forum that isn't Vapor4Life? The only thing you can get here is the KR808-type batteries.

On a side note, sometimes, when the battery is totally drained it will not blink when put on the charger. This can be misleading. It seems to be completely dead, but it's probably not. Just doesn't have the energy to blink. A good overnight charge will usually work...

At first, it seemed to in my case... but the battery lasted an hour off the charger with very light vaping. Back onto the charger - no blinking, and was not charged 12 hours later. I'm gonna call this one dead.

Already got an email from Val saying they can replace it on my next order. Saw my last one hadn't shipped and asked if they could tuck the replacement in there since I don't know when I'll have the $$ to order again this month. Haven't heard back (which is ok since the email was sent late-ish) but I'm hoping the answer is a yes...
