get a 510...lol. only half kidding

From what I understand quality isnt great on any of these yet. At least longevity/failure rate is concerned. As long as FDA clears us I predict e-cigs will make vast improvements in the years to come.

Regardless buying new attys and batteries is still far cheaper than analogs!

We are up to 7.50 a pack here in SW Wisconsin

I just got a blue one in the mail today. It seems to be charging and I got a good vape for the couple puffs I tried, but the orange led stays on while it is charging. It has been on the charger for quite awhile now and hasn't gotten full yet. I wonder if it is "discharging" because it looks like it is activating while on the charger.

Your post got me thinking, and I started messing with my bad shorty some more. The center post is definitely in there really loose, I'm able to pull the one in mine up and get it to vape as well, but as soon as I put it into the ac charger, it gets pushed back down, and never actually starts charging. Same seems to happen with the usb charger as well. It does seem to charge in the pcc though. There's definitely a manufacturing defect with at least some of these. None of my normal autos have loose center posts that can be easily moved, but the shorty's post moves quite easily. Whatever sort of epoxy or whatnot that's used to put in the center post is really weak on the shorties.

I think your right.

I just checked on mine and its led is also on. My shortie is white with a green led. I sure hope its not discharging as its charging, if it is it may never charge8-o

Mine is white with green LED as well. I tried to charge it in the PCC last nite. The PCC LED stayed red like it's charging. The batt LED stayed on. It's been 15 hours and the PCC LED is still staying red... I'm taking the battery off to see if it's actually charged.

For those of you whose shorty's led stays on while charging, I don't think it's turning on while charging, I think it's just a wiring or circuit issue with the circuit that would normally make it flash when you hook it up to a charger. Mine doesn't do anything when I hook it up to the pcc, but when I disconnect it I get the charging flash. I also left mine on the pcc all night and the pcc's led never went out indicating a full charge. I slapped a carto on it and it's charged, but the auto switch is messed up, either taking a lot to activate, or sticking on. I very well could have messed it up trying to pull the center post up last night though.

At this point, I'm probably just gonna try and rip the battery apart and salvage the connector for a mod I may eventually try to build. Push the center post up and epoxy the hell out of it from the bottom should secure the center post fairly well, plus seal it.

Mine's doing this as well. I'm can vape with it, but I don't know if it's from the initial charge from the factory or if my PCC charged it. One way to find out is to vape it today and see if it'll recharge tonite.

That same thing started happening to mine. When I first got it, I charged it for 9 hrs and it didn't seem to get fully charged. I used it until the battery died, put it back on the charger and the led stays on the whole time.

What I have found is the battery lights stay on now the whole time they are being charged. The first time I charged them only the blue one stayed on. The yellow one has now joinded the blue. When the charger light turns blue the battery light goes out now. Maybe this is something new????

As for carts not working, the Mboro- 18 and the 555- 11 and 555- 8 didn't work I did pull up the wire inside the cart a bit and presto they worked. Thank you for the tip...

I vaped on mine for most of today. When the cut-off time started getting shorter (like Mark said), I plugged it in. Instead of using the PCC, I used the wall outlet charger. The battery LED stayed on during charging. It turned off when the charger LED goes green. So I guess you're right that there's some new logic to turn the battery LED off when it's fully charged.

I still can't charge the shorties with my USB or the PCC though. Maybe this will charge after a few cycles of discharge/charge.

Sorry, I been crazy busy, working all weekend. These are from new factory, and Yes, in fact the light stays on till the battery is chargeed. I did not realize there is an issue(if there is)with the USB chargers.

These rock, when fully charged, and you will know when they are, cause the light will finally go off. Different, yes, but, when they are charged proper, you will love em:thumb:

We are working with more, and more factories, trying to provide the best vaping experience for you. We will Always take care of issue's, plese, remember to use comments section on purchase's, so we can service you best.

Enjoy:D

My short seems to charge well with the wall outlet. Screw it in and it charges.

With the USB charger, I have to really fidget around with it, wiggle it, just a little bit, shove it all the way in, pull it out a little bit. Somewhere in there, it'll start charging when the battery post makes connection with the charger.

I like them though. They are nice and light and produce a ton of vapors when I was vaping on the green apple carto. Btw, that's delicious!!!

Hey everyone, I just want to say I am REALLY sorry for this.

I tested out a set of samples and didn't have any issues. This was only a couple days before Steve and Mark got the main order, so it was too late to make any changes even if I had spotted any problems, but still I feel like I dropped the ball. :(

I charged each one up and puffed on them a few times, including checking the cutoff length. I picked one out and used it for a couple days. But, I didn't pay enough attention to the charging and failed to notice that the LED on the battery didn't go out, and I used a new charger that was sent with them, instead of the charger model that you guys have. So, I failed to spot the charging issues.

Again, I am REALLY sorry for that, especially to everyone who's bought them.

I am already talking to the manufacturers about these issues. Specter and Imposter are correct about the center post being shorter, and that may be the root cause. There also may be an incorrectly, or at least differently, programmed chip in the battery. Those errors were the factory's but I was the one supposed to catch them, and I accept the responsibility.

I'm taking this as a lesson, and will be much more careful about these kinds of details in the future. Trust nothing, test everything.

Again, my apologies, and Steve and Mark will make it right for everyone affected by this.

Thanks for that, I skimmed a bit too much earlier and missed it. That's what I'm finding too, it's great to have coroboration. :thumb:

Hi Leaford,

After having no luck with my PCC I tried the wall charger and was able to get it fully charged. The LED on the batt did stay on the whole time though. I have it on the wall charger again now to see if it charges a second time. It looks like it is going the same as the first time (LED on onthe batt, charging light on on the charger).

Thanks,
Kat

One question for everyone, has anyone who's bought the shortie batteries tried using the wall charger? We need to know if there's an issue with that.
No worries Leaford! I believe most of us already have other batteries we can use while the problem gets fixed!:D But yea I tried mine on the wall charger and my pcc and neither one will do anything for it! When I screw it on to either one nothing happens at all......my led doesnt even come on like most everybody elses. I cant wait to try one that works! I love the size of these!

You're the first I've heard to report that it won't charge on the wall charger. Does the battery's LED come on? And the charger light doesn't come on at all? Is it on before screwing in the battery?

IS anyone else experiencing this?
