Hello,

I know the micro minis from deal extreme are crap and should not be purchased.

but I hear the deal extreme cigar is a solid performer for 30 bucks and was thinking to purchase one as a back up since it seems to last forever.

But I saw the penstyles and minis and I wanted to know if anyone had tried one and know if they were any good?

Unfortunately, I did try one in my earlier days of e-smoking. I bought the penstyle, but haven't tried the minis. The penstyle LOOKS the same as the ones we get from other suppliers. I believe that Pillbox, Meltrex, and Heaven_gifts all sell the white Electronic Cigarette that many of us have purchased. Beware, they definitely are not the same. The penstyles on Dealextreme are a knockoff of a knockoff, and are very poorly manufactured. The batteries are not interchangeable with other e-cigs and they require a different charger.

The penstyle I received never worked and I returned it for a refund. Even if it had worked, I would still have wanted to return it just because of the poor quality.

Since it looks almost exactly like other Electronic Cigarette penstyles, it can be very difficult to tell the difference. However, if you examine the cartridge, you will notice that the sides are curved instead of being straight like the others.

In Dealextreme's defense, they did refund the money....eventually. :p

whould like to confirm low quality of DX penstyle ecig;
it was very bad atomizer and one battery was dead; when i complain to DX support, they ask to be more specific ;-), in my respond i point that its no reason to send the picture...after second mail ..i stop my correspondence with DX ;-)

I'll hop on that dogpile. Mine only gave thin wispy smoke, leaked all over itself, and then died completely. They asked for a photo, which I sent, then they asked me to send it back before they would send a replacement or give a refund. Not unreasonable, but I never got around to going to the poist office.

I was an early, early purchaser of the DealExtreme e-cigar. It never produced much vapor, but I still liked it and kept it in the rotation after buying vapor-hog pen styles. I still have that e-cigar, original atomizer, original two batteries and charger. It's six months old. Still a wimp, but a lovable wimp.

I have the automatic model, by the way. I've been tempted to add the manual switch model at $26. I load mine up with heavy flavor brew and just sip it.
