    Somewhere between here and there
So far I’ve tried a single coil 24ga 316 coil and now am trying two alien v2 coils in it. I hate to admit since I bought two without trying one first but I’m just not loving this tank so far. I think I need to try dual coils that will let me run my usual 25-30 watts but I’m not sure what to try yet. Right now I’m having to run the aliens at 45 watts and it’s killing the flavor.

Yesterday replaced ni80's with SS316 single wire, 2x 0.50 ohms, 0.22ohms in dual buils, rocking some VCt from ripe vapes, on 1st attempt i did got excessive spit back and flooding, then replaced cotton, realized that fist time i did used not the necessary cotton, used a bit less and thin layer, it put my coils to swing, then moved to a ticker wick, fluffed ends, did a little priming, sweet, again rocking on zeus X, now on my mech.... and then... 12 minutes after i was re-filling it again, sweeeeeeeet draw and amazing flavor,

    used this ones:

dont know the gauge, package does not specify the gauge or ID cuz 3m and 2.5mm didnt fit, they are pretty cheap and useful when you dont want to roll, just to pick up, lolz

I was guessing that it was probably 26ga since I used to use a lot of 26ga 316 and my coils would come out around .5 with that many wraps.
that is amazing cuz i will probably get more SS316, im starting liking single wire coils, simple!

i love using mechs, also for mechs i use coils fro 0.23-0.25 to 0.35 or so, SS316L also provides a little metallic taste to my loved VCT, do you space coils or regular tight ones?

    Regards,

I use a coil jig and then push the coil towards the stop so it is spaced but not a really big space between turns. I was stuck on 316 claptons for quite some time. I just ordered some ni80 Clapton wire and premade geekvape coils.

contrary on me, i have been using premade wire and seldom a premade coil, but always look for 3core wire, aliens or flat claptons, now im using my mechs more and more, so i just need simplicity and efficiency, so single wire is the deal, quite cheap, could be used on mechs and regulated and the most important fact, easy to work with, so easy!

rebuild or well, actually re-wicked zeus X, amazing flavor, coils are decently enough, so brought him with me today attached to my Aegis legend 200W, amazing, this tank is sweet and silent enough to be used close by 45-50W and also strong enough to be rocking and blowing clouds close by 150W, have been sat around 115-125W, decent flavor, amazing clouds and most important, no dry hits, im so glad!

I haven't rebuilt mine yet. I'm going to try some simple round wire coils. I put in a couple demon killer coils and didn't like them. I don't like running really high watts so I'll put in a couple 28 or 26 gauge coils and try it again.

I finally got around to rebuilding my Zeus X. I think I finally found a build that works for me. I did two 8 wrap 28ga 316 coils that came out to .5 combined. I’m running TC at 330 and power set to 30w. I have the airflow only 1/4 open. It’s a great flavorful vape.
