It's kinda easy to deceive my beasties. If it's in my hand, they think it's a treat...whether it's a real treat, a bit of dog food, a carrot or even meds... if i act like it's a treat, then it is a treat :D
You have proven what I have believed for quite a while, Chris. Dogs have no taste buds.

So what was all this about some "shapely mod"?

You talking about Sonic again?

:D
You posted about a mod on Deals & Steals. I had never heard of it so I googled it and went to the manufacturer's website. There I learned that it has delicate curving forms to catch customers.

While I'm sure Sonic is shapely as well, I do not call him "delicate."

Oh, for all my computer nerd expert friends here -- new problem on Dad's computer with MS Word. Markup is always on. I tried creating a new template with it turned off, but, when you open the template, it is still on. But I finally taught Dad how to find markup and turn it off so the problem seemed to be solved. Until yesterday.

He wrote a story which was fully marked up. He couldn't get it to stay off. So I turned it off, saved, quit. He wanted to send the story to someone so I attached it to an e-mail. Before I sent it, he wanted to see that it was the un-markuped version. I opened it and it was red again. I fixed it, saved and quit a few more times and, each time, it reopened with the markup.

Then, in the top left corner, I saw "Final with markup." It was a drop-down menu I'd never seen before. The other options were "Final," "Original with markup" and "Original." When I switched to final or original, the markup went away but returned when I reopened the doc.

Any ideas on how to turn markup off, preferably for good?

Good morning y'all

Poeia, the only times i've had trouble turning off the track changes mode is when a friend was using a mac and i was using a PC. I think i selected final, and then turned off track changes. The other thing you can do is go through the document and "accept" all of the changes- then there's nothing to track.

I'll try it when he's not on.
This has been PC only. The only time my Mac got involved was when I couldn't fix it so I copied it onto my computer and then sent it to him. Inefficient, especially as the tracking imported too so I had to retype it clean on a new doc.

ETA: It worked. Also, when I used Help to learn how to accept changes, I found the fix -- Tools/Options/Security, uncheck display changes when opening. I made him a new template so it should stop happening. Thanks, Chris.

grumble grouse growl... stoopid big bright shiny sky thing...

(maybe I should start going to bed before 4:30 am...)
Why, I rarely go to bed before that stoopid big bright shiny sky thing shows up.
The down side is that I have a hard time accomplishing anything. By the time I'm functional, everything is shutting down for the day.
The up side is that 15 minutes' exposure to the sbbskt makes my itchy and I rarely get out before it goes away at night.

General Warning to all who are attending Vapestock:

I'm bringing a sample of Raspy Watermelon (Raspberry/Watermelon) and a few flavors out of a new line I'm working on called Angel's Breath.

Here's the warning: prepare to be seduced by some amazing flavors! :) But only if you can track me down!

I'm bringing different nic levels: 0, 12 & 24 of each... that gives the ability to hit most of the desired nic levels (if you're dripping).
