In French press I added about 1/3 extra, ground it rather fine, and give it twelve hours in the fridge. It came out really good.
Only 1/3 extra? That's not bad.

I assume I'll have to grind my own, right? No being lazy and just using the store bought for coffeemakers?

When got to vaping, and it stuck, I found that I lost my taste for coffee, just didn't seem to do it for me anymore so I switched to tea, which was what I had preferred when I was younger. I always have a half gallon jug of tea in the fridge, and also a good collection of different flavors and loose leaf teas kicking around. The other day I got the hankering for one of those frozen coffe drinks for some odd reason, I never did go to get one because seeing the donuts or other pastries which I used to love would have been tempting and made me depressed that I can no longer eat them. I would kill for a croissant that I could actually eat:hubba: thinking aim going to whip up a batch of GF buckwheat pancakes in the AM now that I got thinking about it, or maybe I'll whip 'em up tonight and just re heat them later

I don't know , I've always ground my beans fresh. It only takes a couple seconds.

Now you got me thinking about food! I can't have the pastries either. Being diabetic sucks!
Try living with celiac disease  wheat byproducts are hidden everywhere, I even need to buy special soy sauce. It's not so bad a couple years in, but there was a pretty big learning curve...good thing I had a solid foundation in cooking, having worked as a cook through high school and cooking on ships in the Coast Guard for my early working years.

I'm glad you're adjusting well. Now I'm grateful I just have diabetes!
