Delsy was an interesting challenge. I first was going with a 1200mAh li-poly batt, but really wanted to fit a 1500mAh li-poly batt for longer vape times and with a bit of dremeling inside the case it fit!

The case is the same size as Minxy - 3x2x3/4. I love the feel of the wood and the size of Minxy and had missed vaping with her since doing the DNA20D mods, but I didn't think there would be enough width and depth to fit all the DNA20D circuitry and batt cuz of the thickness of the wood, but after doing the stealth mod I figured wth I'll give it a try.

In addition to the DNA20D board, Delsy has a 1500mAh 20C li-poly batt, low profile switches, and Evolv's micro USB charging board.

I did 3 design layouts. The 1st I cut and shaped a Lexan door like Milo and the build is similar to Milo, the 2nd I kept the case's door and did a cutout for the display (I did 22mm x 8mm instead of 21mm x 7mm), and the 3rd is the same as the 2nd except I re-arranged the up/down watts buttons.

1st design layout...

Size comparison with the DNA20D stealth mod... Delsy has a 1500mAh batt and the stealth mod has a 1200mAh batt...

poland, and the brassy lands of google
All three are great mamu! The 3rd reminds me of the tried and true Denali layout, but my favorite is the 1st. The button placement allows firing with the index finger or thumb and the contrasting Lexan is picked up by all the buttons and drip well, the screen is hidden and the usb is on the back. This all said, I would be just as happy to win the 2nd. ;)

Thanks guys! :) Minxy was always my fave of the vv mods and Delsy is now my fave of my vw mods. I love the feel of the wood and the size.

Fact or Fiction... Round 1 :D

Wow!! I'm really liking your work. What 510 connectors are you using? And where do you get the black fire switch? I have been driving myself crazy trying to find a good looking fire switch.

The 510 connectors I buy at madvapes. BUT I don't use the rubber insulator they come with - I buy and use the silicon insulators that Cisco sells. I hate those cheap rubber insulators that come in these connectors - they just don't hold up to wear and tear like the silicon insulators do.

The fire button is custom made.

One more question, Where did you get a 1500mah battery that size??

I buy these batts either on ebay or a l i e x p r e s s . c o m

1500mAh 20C Lipo Battery

They don't come in singles - only 2 in series, or 3 in series. So you need to carefully desolder the tabs to separate them. Once I get them separated I bend the tabs over for an unch less height.

I see, thank you. I found some other ones at hobby shops. But the measurements they have for a 2 and 3 cell seem a lot bigger.

The measurements for the one you linked to are about the same.
After you separate them, you say you bend the tabs over for less height. Is there a difference in width? I imagine the thickness would be half, if there are 2 cells. 1/3 for 3 and so on.

I think she means similar to the pic below. You can not fold a lipo, it will damage the internal cells and possibly puncture the cell and make

Right, that what I was thinking. Just reducing the height just a little by bending just the tabs. I didn't mean the entire battery.

I am thinking of doing a wooden box mod this time. I think I will get the batteries ordered and in so I know what I need to make room for instead of trying to find a battery to fit.

mamu,
In this thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/battery-mods/380431-battery-packs.html Sovran had a cell possibly rip while separating the cells. I believe he got the from a l i e x p r e s s . c o m so likely similar to the ones you use. I'm curious if you have had a cell tear or have any special separation techniques?

The lipo batts I've gotten have a thin double-sided foam tape that adheres the cells together and they are really really stuck together. So yeah - that will most likely cause damage if you just pull them apart.

I unch a toothpick between the cells and work it in to loosen the tape from the cells - slowly and carefully an unch at a time working it back and forth, in and out.

Like this...

Once I've got them apart, I use rubbing alcohol to remove the goo residue.

And by bending the tabs, I mean this - just simply folding them over to reduced the height...

Very nice pics! I will have to give the toothpick a try next time.
