I have a couple of Bling Batts and I have never had this happen. This is the 2nd stumper of the day, the first being a manual pt button stuck in the up position. This is so unique Juicehead I would fill out a C.S. ticket and ship it back to Chad.

For this particular issue there isn't much you can try, except for this. Take a sewing needle, holding the battery upright angle the sewing needle point downward at a 45 degree angle and place it in the Air Intake hole located under the battery threads. It will make contact with an inner ring. When the point makes contact with the ring, apply light pressure and change the needle angle to 90 degrees...this should lift the ring a little. Repeat this on the other 2 Air Intakes holes.

Then test you batt and let us know if it resolved the issue.

Thanks for the suggestion Snow, but it isn't necessarily a problem with the inner post. In fact, when I attach a carto to this batt, it works flawlessly!

My "issue" is that if I give the batt a slight shake without a carto attached, the LED will light up for 20 seconds like it is on.

For example, check out this video. If I do something similar to the first trick in that video, the LED will light up like it is on, even with no carto screwed on.

Don't worry, I baby my equipment and I'm not twirling my batts around haha

I'm just concerned that it is turning on in my travel case and draining battery life without me using it.

I hear it Juicehead, just offering up the only suggestion at your disposal. As you probably know the batts don't need a Carto to light up the l.e.d. under normal operation. If you place a batt end past the Air Intake holes into your mouth and draw the l.e.d. will light up. As long as the batt isn't connected to a Carto, the draw for the l.e.d. is so minimal I don't think it could notably drain down your battery unless it was staying on continuously.

I think it has something to do with the Air Intake holes since it works flawlessly when the Carto is on. If it were me and I was leaving it in my travel case, I would toss a condom on the batt end. I'll bet if you try that the l.e.d. won't light either.
