It's a bit of a shame that Dicodes saw fit to limit this to dual-battery mode only. They've hardcoded the mod to a maximum of 15A, and disallowed >40W with single battery.
It's a compromise towards longevity. What I been told, the prototypes had a higher limit, but they figured that the "wear" on the electronics would go up exponential above 15A without appropriate cooling, which of course is not really possible in such a tiny device (where tiny is the place the chip lives in, not the overall mod ;) ) Maybe they find a way to dissipate the heat in the rumored box mod and allow for higher amps there.

Also I started real temperature testing on my Dicodes, so here's a quick picture and I'll post some graphs soon. Sneak preview: it's very accurate!

hey guys, i'm consider getting the 18350 Dani V2. what kind of coils are you guys using in your atties for TC. i'll probably go with Titanium, but just wanted to know what you all are using at style of coils are working the best and what resistance you guys are making them at. thanks in advance for the info

dont. Spend a few more bucks and go for the 2380. The Dani has a fixed 510 which is pretty high so pretty muchj nothing will sit flush on it.Why in the name of all that's holy they chose to stick a non-adjustable 510 in a £190 mod beats me. In my OCDness, this is a big dealbreaker to the point that I swapped my Dani V2 for said 2380..If you dont mind a honking great gap between your expensive mod and your beloved atty, then it is a great device - for me, the gap looks like a gaping festering wound....lol!

Dani Extreme v2s do come in different sizes (18350/500/650), as does the Dani Basic v2 which is like the old Dani Extreme v1 featurewise, but with the design of the v2.
Dicodes Dani Extreme V2 | Dicodes | Akkuträger | Greek-Mods

Over the months I found that a Ti Gr1 spaced coil with 0.39mm, 2.5mm diameter and 7-8 windings works best for me. Resistance is about 0.35-0.4 ohms, and I used this with DNA40s, SX M class, dicodes and the evic VT. I even use it now on mech mods (as a micro coil), as the low resistance when starting to fire works like a power boost.

jeez, you are right! so sorry. Forgot it came in different fixed sizes. I was thinking of the 2380 and 2380T which are modular/adjustable!

Interesting you are using Ti on mechs. I have seen a few people say this. Do you see oxidation of the wire?? Presumably not!

I'm not quite sure what you mean with oxidation, the white powder that really is Ti oxide if you dry-burn Ti really hard (white glowing coil) or the colors the wire goes through when pulsing it softly?

I clean fresh wire with alcohol before coiling, and dry-burn both new and used coils to a red-orange glow before wicking. New coils get a blue-greenish color from that, old coils will have a light-greyish color afterwards, and I decide by the "darkness" of grey if I want to reuse that coil or go for a new one. I have a relatively heavy used coil that dates back to December, but with a fresh wick it vapes like new.

Uhm, you might guess I'm not concerned at all about discussion about residues on the coil, to dry-burn or not to dry-burn etc..
