Hey, so, Im hoping to use vaping as a quitting aid for the Analogs (I am already thinking they taste gross). I Started smoking when I was 13, Now I am 26... so... I figure Its time to quit... since I smoked for Half my life... Do not really wanna do it any longer....

Anyways... I had been gradually cutting down my nicotine levels on the Analogs. So For a while I was at 1.2, then down to 0.8, then to 0.6, and then 0.3, and then 0.1, Yet If I cant find the ones I like, sometimes, I jump up to the 0.3's again.

But Generally 0.1.

Sooooo I have been reading about how people quit and almost everyone recommends getting a 24 mg or a 36 mg Nicotine juice.

That way, you dont really wanna smoke.

Well, I didnt do that.... I only read it today, and I am already, Geez, like... 400 bucks in, and still waiting for something to come (last week ordered an e cig.... second guessed it, ordered a different kind and some juices... ) So I got the Halo triton coming in a week with my first batch of juices... 1.2 and 0.6 juices.... anyways... Main question... Is that enough, Or should I hop back on and get a couple 2.4 mg juices as well to ensure survival..? Smoking 2.4 cigarettes now just seems REALLY disgusting... Even 1.2... but I wanna make sure I put the Smokes down forever... Its all so Confusing.

I started at 18mg, and that just wasn't cutting it for me, so I grabbed some 24 and 36.

I also smoked a PAD+ of Camel Wides, so I was getting a ton of nic.

Just take a deep breath. Try out the 12 and 6 that you have on the way. See how they work. You might be just fine on those! And if they don't completely kill the cravings, don't fret about ordering a bottle or two of 24mg for those really hard cravings. :)

If you have some stronger nic juice that you like the taste but it is just to strong of nic, you could always get some vg at Walmart and dilute it down a bit. It would lower the nic some but I don't think you would notice a huge difference in flavor. In fact, maybe what you are vaping has to much flavor for your taste buds. You just have to experiment. Not as easy as smoking (I ain't gonna lie) but so worth the effort it takes to get to a happy vaping place.

Welcome to ecf. You will find lots of people here who really care and want to help anyway they can. That is what makes ecf so special. Good luck to you and I hope to be reading about your future successful vaping. :)

It is nice you have been able to taper down on the nic with your cigs. Unfortunately, the FDA allows the cig industry to put anything in the cigs, and not tell us. You also have to realize that absorption of nic in ecigs is different from analogues. You are also going to be withdrawing from the other stuff in cigs. Twelve should be plenty, given the fact that you have already started the process of weaning yourself. I would have suggested some twelve and some zero to mix it down-- that way you don't have to worry about finding a source for VG. And you don't have to worry about diluting the flavor if you order the same flavor.

cool. Im hoping so... as I said, 0.1 mg is plenty of nic, although I do smoke more, I find, Not much, but a bit more.... I think it could partially be because I am in the house more, But, i think i am at a couple more... On my breaks, I smoek two almost exclusively now, in a row, not 1, but Resolved to keep it at 1 mg... I am kinda looking forward to quitting smoking, or at least tapering down. I think i want it so that the cigarettes are the things that leave me wanting... and not the E cig. And why smoke Crap taste, when I can vape Belgian cocoa and peppermint, and all these other seemingly delicious flavours, such as red bull and gummy bears.

BTW your avatar made me lol after thinking for a few secs

well, I just wanna know if 12 mg should be enough since my smokes are 0.1 mg... its... x 12 the strength... I was thinking. I dunt want to be up at 2.4

Plus... Definitely live about 9 hours from the closest walmart by plane... Walmart hasnt gotten a foot in here in asia.

Spencer, I was smoking Virigna Slim Lights and started with 12 mg. At about 2 mo, I dropped to 6 mg. I would start with 12 if I were you because vaping is different in the way the nicotine works in your body to see how that works. Just don't buy a lot of juice until you see if you need to drop down even more.

See the forum ecf-library, it has a thread on inhalation technique. If you try to vape just like it was a cigarette then you won't get the best results and want a higher-nic juice.

Different vapers make more or less vapor by using more power to heat more juice faster. The little cig-alikes are around 4 watts, the bigger ones go up to 15 watts - more juice in your vapor means more nic at a time even with the same juice.

I carry around 24mg in a 5watt pocket pen for 2-3 minute smoke breaks. At home i use 18mg on a 7watt device and that gets too much aftrt 10minutes or so.

i'd think you'd want less as you are starting from really weak cigarettes
