Ugh the argument about the teen usage of e-cigs doubled!!!

Based on the accuracy of teenagers telling the truth? Does it count if a teen took one puff off an e-cig? And I must wonder of those teens did any of them smoke analogs? how much nic is in the liquid.

It is just sooo ridiculous to make such a limited uninformed statement.

Yep, last year 1 teen took a puff, this year 2 teens did.........major "double" there! *snort*:glare:

As a former smoker on and off for more than 40 years I've found ecigs a much better alternative for nicotine delivery and haven't even wanted one since switching. I also had the life-saving experience of meeting Dr. Oz when he performed a triple CABG for me 10 years ago, before Opra and the TV career. My belief is he truly cares about changing people's diet and living habits to promote a healthier lifestyle and undertook the tv route in an attempt to reach more people with his message, and potentially save more lives, than he could in his practice.

Having said that, he's an extremely talented cardiac surgeon and as my son (the doctor) says: "He should stick to what he is trained in".

OK all you flamers, have at it.

I'm sure he's a good cardiac surgeon, and I'm glad he was there to help you. I guess his problem is that there's only so far you can go on a TV show with "eat better, exercise more, quit drinking and smoking" and he has to turn to more sensational things. As someone mentioned earlier in the thread, he does have a very hands on teaching style, with lots of demonstrations and visuals. It's just a shame that he's such a proponent for pseudoscience.

I left many comments, (links to studies) and they're not there today. Guess he couldn't handle facts.

Was considering posting a response of Jack Nicholson from A Few Good Men, but I've been posting a lot of picture responses lately.

Just know that I was thinking of ya.

Never heard of Dr. Oz, but it brings the Wizard of Oz to mind... obviously.

And what was the deal with the Wizard of Oz in the movie again?

Oh yeah, he was a phoney, pretending to be someone/something he wasn't. Funny, in a tragic sort of way...

Dr. Mehmet Oz.

He's a putz.

If he wants to go the whole antifreeze route, then we'd have to stop putting antifreeze on our skin and hair, taking antifreeze drugs and eating antifreeze foods. PG is in a lot of everyday products and is generally considered safe by the FDA... which is why they started using it in ecigs... But it definitely sounds better when you tell people to stop smoking antifreeze rather than approaching the subject objectively.

Dr. Oz got his show via Oprah (as did "Dr." Phil)... which means millions of housewives are likely watching him and taking his opinions as gospel. Sad but true...

First I love alcohol. and Secondly Dr. OZ is a moronic idiot. He says stuff on his show that he would never say in real life because he is paid to do it by big pharma, big tobacco, etc, etc. I'm sure his stance on them is totally different in private...but at any rate he should not be trusted. Nor should racist Oprah and any other progressive idiots.

I wish my moral aptitude (or lack thereof) would allow me to parrot what the highest bidder wanted me to regurgitate to the masses. Would be nice to be pampered, have my hair and makeup done, dressed, adored and admired on a daily basis. (yes, i said makeup. and i'm a guy who won't wear it. but it would be nice to have a lady fuss over it every day before a half hour of on air recording.)

Ahhh... the good life. all you have to do to get it is shed all your morals...

those pesky morals...
