oh and I am tired of being "responsible" for other peoples kids.......
Isn't that the truth...
The "but what about the kids" argument is beginning to backfire....people are getting to the point where they don't want children in restaurants, theater, hotels/motels, on airplanes or even at the store.
They need to be cool with that argument, because people, whether they vape/smoke/drink or not are getting tired of their lives and their rights revolving around somebody else's kids.

Parents need to be taught what the phrase "Parental Responsibility" means.
It doesn't mean sitting the kid in front of the TV/computer/xbox , having government legislate everything else and calling it a day.
That isn't the way parenting works.

ETA: For the record, I do not have children (I had Cats instead) and for the ones that bring up the argument "you don't have kids what do you know", I reply that I didn't come into the World this age and this size. I was once a child and children need to be sat down and TALKED to. That is a responsibilty that cannot be shirked.

I agree and what can you do.
But if you say GMO's aren't detrimental.
Well then I say a picture is worth a thousand words, food for thought.

I could attack and denounce your pseudoscience "source" all day. But the only thing I need to point out is a link to one of their 'suggested artices":

"Naturally Detox Your Body With These 6 Power Foods"

Your source is bad and you should feel bad. GMO isn't inherently unhealthy. But keep listening to Alex Jones and reading inforwars.

And that's not even mentioning their lack of sources. Lemme guess, you listen to Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and watch Fox news.

I remember 2 quarter pull knob cig 's and that was too much cause they were 35 cents at the gas station...... 1972 ish.....

I used to walk through a cow pasture, then a pecan orchard, to get to the EZ-Store that sold Pall Malls for $0.55/pack. My dad sent me with $1.50 so I could come back with a pack for him, a pack for me, and a pack of baseball cards.

Still have the Hank Aaron in mint condition. I chewed the gum.

I was wondering about about how many of these "kids experimenting with e-cigarettes" were smokers when I found this.

http://tobaccoanalysis.blogspot.com/2013/09/electronic-cigarette-experimentation.html#disqus_thread

Man...

Based on these results, CDC Director Dr. Thomas Frieden proclaimed: "The increased use of e-cigarettes by teens is deeply troubling....Nicotine is a highly addictive drug. Many teens who start with e-cigarettes may be condemned to struggling with a lifelong addiction to nicotine and conventional cigarettes."

I wish they would write coffee consumption among 14-18 has been moving up with Starbucks. Caffeine in a highly addictive drug. These teens would be struggling with a lifelong addiction to caffeinated soda, coffee and tea.

I offered my 15 year old a cup of jo one morning. She said no way daddy. At dinners on Saturday nights I offer her a small glass of wine. Yes, I know I am a terrible parent. She always says no way daddy, ewwww.

No one is demonizing alcohol or caffeine like they demonize cigarettes. More people die from alcohol related incidents than tobacco. Strange that the one of the leaders of the charge waging war against all thing evil to us.. he drank, he smoked and he was overweight. Yet.. he tried to pass bill to improve our health against those things. Sorry for the tangent....

Oh there was a few times I got a whooping but I'll have to admit I deserved it :)
When I was a wee lass, my Moms would tell me, "If you don't behave you won't go bye-bye.."
Well, heck I wanted to go bye - bye...all the time.
So I learned to behave in public because when one is that young, you are at home all the time.
It was nice to have an opportunity to go bye - bye :D

That last line is entirely unnecessary and it is inaccurate in my experiences. On the internet the claim seems to be conspiracy theorists and the like are associated to those conservative shows but in my real world life the opposite has always been true. It has always been that those "wackos" were liberal.

I was chased outside and my mom would brake a branch off the tree and chase me around the house swinging it at me... Man glad I was fast.

My grandmother would make us go outside and pick our own switch. Then she would proceed to strip the bark and she would dip it in a glass of water. We learned very quickly that the green ones were much more painful than the brown ones :D.

To my knowledge he did not include the topic on his show.

What I saw was an interview with Dr. Oz on the morning news. I did not record it, nor does the tv station website have any video clip. I think they had him on to promo his new season. The hosts asked him his thoughts about electronic cigarettes, apparently since they did a feature on Friday 9/6 about the apparent increase in use by minors.

That I do take as an extreme insult, but I do however listen to Randi Rhodes when time permits.
