I've been down to 0 nicotine for a while now. Been vaping for 2 years and probably started at 6 but then quickly diluted that with 3. I never really smoked much so for me dropping the nicotine was no big deal. Would like to eventually stop but right now not concerned. I think perhaps it's blowing out the vapor more than the hand to mouth addiction if that makes sense.

I personally don't plan to go to 0 nic. It could happen I guess. I started with 18mg went up to 24 then back down to 18. I'm a tootle puffer.

There are many members here that tapered down to low or 0 nic and some that never used nic at all.
Like gandymarsh, I see no reason to eliminate nicotine. Any possible harm is overridden by the benefits.

The first six months I vaped, I increased from 6mg, to 8mg, 9mg, and finally 10mg, where I've stayed till just recently when I got an rda that gives such terrific TH, I've gone back to 9mg. I'm still in the process of weaning off WTA, so I have no plans to change the nic level until I'm free of the WTA.

During the coldest months this winter, I may try decreasing to about 5mg to see if it helps any with my terribly cold hands and feet; I started in the winter, at 6mg, and almost as soon as I laid down the smokes, I noticed my hands and feet weren't so cold, but this past winter I was at 10mg, and they were as cold as ever they were when I smoked; I've cut down my caffeine pretty drastically, so that only leaves the nicotine as the possible culprit.

Considering that my gene pool contains both "ordinary" geriatric dementia and Alzheimers, I have no plans to ever go completely nic-free.

Started at 24mg and am down to 3mg in my subohm tanks and 10mg in my Nautilus. I'll be dropping my Nautilus to 8mg on the next large batch of juice I make and my subohms will be dropped to 2mg.

My ultimate goal is to be 100% nic free, but I'm doing it in slow and steady increments rather than big jumps. I'm trying to keep from compensating for the lowered nic by vaping more which defeats the whole purpose of lowering the nic. I'm not really reducing my nicotine level if I cut the nicotine in the juice in half and then vape twice as much of it, am I?

Very true, and that's actually why I increased my nic, during my first 6 months -- I needed to find a way to a) put the thing down sometimes!, and b) vape less for my lungs' benefit, while remaining satisfied.

And that slow and steady reduction is precisely how I'm going about the WTA weaning; considering the HORRIBLE cravings that provoked me to using it in the first place, I want no repeat of that situation EVER; dropping just a percentage point a month, or now, even more slowly than that, has not given rise to any of those horrible cravings, so I guess I'm doing it right. Now that I'm down to such a low level (3%) I'm taking it even more slowly, because I've noticed with the last 2 drops, from 4% to 3.5%, and now 3%, having some stray thoughts about smoking -- not that I want to, but for a long time I never even had the thoughts, so I'm going to be very cautious with my remaining percentage-drops.

I started at 24 for about a week, stuck with 18 for about a month and I've been at 12 for about a month. I'm trying to get down to 0-3mg, but I'm FAR more concerned about being able to go without nicotine, than what I am actually using. If I vape 3-6mg when I want to vape that's fine, but my goal is mostly to just be able to vape when I WANT to and not when I feel like I NEED nicotine.

I'm going away for four days soon to go camping without electric and one of my biggest concerns is how I'm going to keep my batteries going. :( That's a crummy feeling that I'd like to get rid of, the dependency of it, and the panic of not having nicotine available.

I have cut down to zero nic. I do have some 2-4mg bottles kicking around "just in case" but I havent used them in about 2 weeks now. The last time I did I was switching between nicotine and no nicotine juices and I found I was getting a funky taste from the nicotine juices. Now that I DIY all my juices, I am trying to stay nic free, simply for the flavor.

That is why I have a dual battery mod with removable 18650 batteries. A single charge lasts me almost 2 full days, so if I brought the mod fully charged plus 4 fully charged spares that would get me through 5 days of no electricity with charge to spare.

Nicotine adds to the whole steeping process, actually making the juice taste better in my opinion. Normally I only vape 3mg/ml but on occasion will vape zero nicotine. However, I find the juice seriously lacking without at least a little nicotine added to the mix. I think gourmet coffee drinkers can relate to this idea :)

Get my age I never go camping without my Yamaha Generator. I even take a spare generator. Ruffing it for me includes air conditioning. LOL
