I gave my last pack to a co worker of my husband. After hubby explained why I no longer smoked analogs, the guy went online and ordered an ego type kit, and he's been vaping ever since! vape On!
I was buying 4 cartons at a time from the Seminole Reservation near me. When I was almost ready to run out the last time I went to a local b&m and bought an atmos setup. I was down to one pack by then and I alternated vaping and analogs for a day or two. After that, goodbye analogs! Haven't had one since.
I did the RYO thing for years. I still have 2+ cartons ready to smoke and 2 one pound bags that haven't been opened. I haven't touched a one since the day after I received my ego kit.
I've been vaping for a little over 2 months and haven't touched a stinky since I started but I still have a half a pack sitting on my dash in my work truck and my home car. I don't know why I still have them just do, I think it helps build my willpower.
A good buddy introduced me to Ecigs. After hitting one of his while working on a weekend project, I ordered my own. Once it got there I gave my last pack to this homeless guy who asked me for a cig.
I didn't light up one since I got my kit. That was it. I did carry the half pack or so I had left around with me for a couple days so that my not smoking continued to be a choice. I had a pack and lighter in my pocket at all times and was able to choose to abstain.
Even though I quit the day I got my first setup, I carried around my last pack of cigarettes in my purse for the first two weeks I was vaping. I found it was comforting and actually empowering to know I had them and was chosing an alternative. I gave my pack away to a friend who refuses to quit, though I've been actively trying to convert all my friends who still smoke. I don't hound them, but I'm not at all shy about reminding them of my success and the many benefits I've experienced since I switched.
I went into the store, looked at the vape gear they had, came back outside to think / discuss the options with the wife, smoked my last cigarette while considering options, walked back in and bought the vaping kit. Had I known then what I know now I wouldn't have gone with cartomizers, I just don't like the flow from them.
In short, I didn't have any analogs left when I started vaping. A few friends came to the house at about 11:00 am on Wednesday and they had eGo Twists hanging around their necks. I didn't even know what it was so I inquired about it. One of them showed me what it was and let me try it. I loved it and at the time only had a couple of analogs left in my pack. I decided then and there that instead of buying more analogs I was going to just go by the eGo Twist. They told me where they bought it and I hopped in the car and drove up and bought my own and the rest is history. Haven't had an analog since. The first couple of evenings I did have a few urges for an analog but they quickly went away as I vaped.
For the most part, vaping satisfies my urges. My urge at this point is to just go out on the deck and smoke because I never smoked in the house. I vape in the house so I get the urge to go outside. When that happens I just simply go out on the deck and vape.
Welcome to ECF. Get rid of them asap. I just gave away and small fortune in cigars with no regrets. I smoked for over 40 years and started vaping 8 months ago and never felt better. I thank my son Covert and all the people on this forum that gave me the support I needed.
Nope, all of my pipes and about a pound of Tin Star tobacco are sitting in my closet. If they are there a year from now, I'll throw them out. Pipe stuff lasts longer than pre-rolled though.
i keep a pack of reds in the freezer and a pack in my glovebox of my car.
i tell myself they're in there in case the world goes to sh** or something lol.
i honestly don't care about my health that much, so really, if i forget my stuff and i'm in a tough situation, like maybe an emergency and i can't get back home to charge or get more juice or something, i'm going to need nicotine to function at my best. it is an addiction after all.
