Having just found this forum last night, I find myself glued to my computer reading all the info!! You folks are GREAT!

I have a question. I read about 510 systems and eGo systems. What is the difference?

I have so much to learn. After trying a few disposables to see if e cigs would work for me (Blu, njoy, FINITI), I bought the FINITY starter kit. It was inexpensive and I could get it at my local store. What did i know? I am not unhappy, I just know I could be happier LOL! Having smoked for 40 years, I have now been free from the nasty things for over 1 month and with this new experience I will never go back!

I will keep reading, thank those that responded to my first post, and look forward to all the great info and advice I receive. Hey, maybe some day I will be helping other new vapers!! So much to learn, so little brain.

TIA

Egos have two threads, inside and out side

The outside thread is an EGO THREAD
the inside thread is a 510 THREAD
(The post below shows both threads nicely) ;)

I recommend moving from those disposables to an eGo style, main reason: More volts 2nd reason: longer battery life (more hours)
You would see a huge difference! And 'should?' be more satisfied.

a '510' system is more then likely a 'cig-a-like' Looks like an analog
a 510 thread is the most commonly used thread when dealing with PV's (Personal Vaporizers)

Lots of disposable eCigs come in 510 thread or proprietary threads (Blu is a 510 thread)

Most new vapors begin with a cigarette-sized battery setup. It's important for the conversion from smoking to vaping. And those will get you off of the cigarettes if you are dedicated and determined. But there are much better setups available.

A step up to the eGo class of batteries will offer longer battery time, a wider selection of juice carrying devices, and larger juice capacities. Much more convenience. Vaping is not as easy as smoking was, where you just light up and go. So making vaping more convenient and simple will increase your odds to continue to quit the stinkies.

The APV's, or advanced personal vaporizers, or mods, go even a step further in convenience and options. But for the time being just consider the eGo's as a more affordable option initially.

Another newbie here. I don't want to hijack, but I second that WOW!!! I actually just unscrewed the batt from my eGo and blinked at it in disbelief after seeing the photo posted above... I think I'm starting to see the light!!!

This is like learning a whole new language... You folks are amazing with the info you share... Thanks for unlocking one more clue! :thumb:

you will find great help here! I went through a similar experience, bought the Finity starter kit at my local Walgreens. It got me off those nasty killing sticks but I knew there were better options. thanks to loosing myself in this forum for hours at a time, I purchased an eGo 1100 mAh kit from Discount Vapers. I LOVE! it, although I find I am not taking advantage of the VV, I love the options for delivery devices (cartomizers, tanks, dripping! to taste new flavors). Keep reading, no question is "stupid", everyone here is great and helpful. I have not posted many questions because I search my questions and find my answers!! So congratulations on giving up the nasty things, you have many options to choose from, and these folk are extremely friendly and helpful.

Been analog free for over 2 months and loving the vaping experience!

I too went from Blu to an ego twist. The nice thing about them, besides longer battery life, is that you have options. I am currently at the stage where I am figuring out what juice delivery system is best for me - cartos, clearos, or tanks. And I'm learning about variable voltage at the same time. Once I figure out what I like, I will more on to the next thing.....

I have a question. I read about 510 systems and eGo systems. What is the difference?
The 510, as Baditude noted, is a cig sized PV. It's generally about 220 mah.
The eGo uses the same 510 thread and comes standard with a larger 650mah battery. That's the main difference.
Battery Info
100 mah= 1 hour normal vaping before recharge is needed.
Realize with the lower mah PVs you are very limited as to the delivery accessories (cartos, clearos, attys, etc.) you can add on

Remember it's a generalization and will vary based on how heavily/often you vape. However, it's not a bad estimate.

Basically at the rate *I* vape, when my 900maH gets here, it should last me a minimum of two days before recharging. :) I'm currently vaping only enough to kill the nicotine cravings of quitting smoking....one cart from my cig-a-like lasts me about 4 days. Battery not so much...
