A good RBA however will generally provide a more "pure" flavor. Keeping in mind that taste is subjective the difference can be subtle. I love my carto tanks but the carto filler, imho, changes the flavor of the vape. It's not bad...just...different. Also, RBAs leak (they all leak...just the nature of the beast).

If you're looking for something different try a Kanger Protank. Although not officially touted as rebuildable they are.

What are some of the differences between a Cartomizer Tank and a Rebuildable Atomizer Tank?

User input equals user savings. You put out you save. You don't, you don't.

Dependant on your battery device you will also get better flavours and hits. This is also dependant on your DIY skills.

You live and learn.

Current batteries I'm using is a ProVari and a Vamo, my DIY skills are good.

My question was to get more information between the Rebuildable Atomizer and Carto/Tank setup. Such as which provides more vapor, which provides a deeper flavor or harder throat hit.

I know the atomizer takes more skill to build but that doesn't worry me, just wasn't sure if there is a noticeable difference between the two styles is all.

Appreciate all the responses so far :)

Thank you

I've been using cartotanks almost exclusively for several months; been quite happy with their vapor and flavor production.

I decided to get a couple of AGA T2's to see what all the fuss was about. I'll say this up front. They have a much higher learning curve than cartotanks. They won't work right out of the box if you've never used one before. It may take a few re-builds of wick and coil before you get a superior vape from them. They can be frustrating and fussy (IMO).

Once you get them working perfectly, a cartotank is no match for them in vapor or flavor. However, in my particular case they have been inconsistant. I'm admittingly still a beginner and still learning. I've not had the time recently to devote to correcting the recent issues that I have had with mine. But I do have confidence that this can be a superior vape to a cartotank.

Regardless, you will need a good backup juice delivery device to use while you fiddle and experiment with an RBA. Whether that will be a cartomizer, clearomizer, a clearo tank or cartotank it doesn't matter, you need to always have a backup. Thank goodness my trusty cartotanks were there when my RBA's weren't performing up to par.

Genesis I'll say will outperform carto-tanks on all those fields depending on how they are setup. I'm getting pretty similar vapor from both at the moment, but a cleaner flavor & better TH from the AGA-T. Using both side by side with the same liquid.

I have had an AGA T2 for about a week now. It will only perform as good as the wick and coil you build for it. It takes practice. I built 6 coils before i could get it working decently. It can be frustrating because you'll build a coil that looks like it should work well, but there is a hot spot you can't get rid of. Or you do get one glowing evenly, but the resistance is too high or too low, etc...

I encourage you to get one and experiment, but don't rely on it.

Saying a Rebuildable atomizer is very "loose". Since their performance completely and utterly depends on how well you set them up, you would need to pinpoint a specific build to make the comparison.

Comparing a well set-up AGA-T2 (mine; cant say its perfect but i dont yet have the need to make it any better than it is) with a carto tank: IMO, AGA is superior in all vapor volume, flavor purity and throat hit.
