There was a 22mm on eBay, still in box from a US seller. The seller used to be a reviewer for a vape magazine and was selling off extra pieces he was sent by vendors and manufacturers. I sent the seller a message asking if they knew if it had the diffuser or if it was one of the earlier runs that didn't have the diffuser, but they never got back to me. Kind of regret not taking the chance and wished I would have picked it up now.

Yes. Ian has a fix for a Siren without the diffuser. He uses a grommet from a Kanger Protank coil inside of the air hole under the coil. I'm sold on those grommets for reducing airflow in many attys and I plan to pick some up soon.

I recently ordered another 25...why not !

I then noticed the shipping date was an unusual 'May 4 - 16' yet the black version was next day

This was the reply when I asked:

The follwing item you ordered is our most popular one.
191482302*1,Original Digiflavor Siren GTA - MTL Atomizer 25mm Version RDTA

Although we anticipated this and have submitted a large order with the manufacturer,
they have been unable to supply the goods on time leading to a delay in your order.
We have urged the manufacturer to expedite delivery and the items will be in stock again in one week .

So, make of that what you will....China being confused or just telling outright lies regarding stock (as often happens)
Have Digiflavor old stock stashed, are they continuing production of the 25s ?

Just a vaguely interesting snippet of Siren mystery for a Wednesday morning ;)

I'm getting just the slightest bit on condensate from around my air flow ring now (that's after (5) tank fulls and re-fills).

Something I noticed with my 25mm (saw it thru the inner glass on the deck), is after several tank fulls on a new build, after I take a hit, I can see the vapor fall back down into the air tube and not hang in the air above the coil and then disappear like the first few tank fulls on a new build did before. Have to have a Siren 25 to see that though, and only after a few tank fulls, cause only then does the inner glass clear up enough to see what is going on inside there.

That`s just about tolerable - one quick wipe per day isn`t exactly being a slave to the 'badomizer'

It`s interesting to hear that the excess vapour is being dragged back into the base, whether that`s due to air pressure, caused by whatever, heat, vacuum, contraction etc, etc

that will build up over time and condense into a liquid, enough to appear (and have to wipe away).

I`ve never seen it actually happen myself in real time - so it`s a new one on me.

This 'collecting in the base over time' happens with all (these types of) atomisers though that I`ve noticed,
so nothing that can be done about it really - it`s just about how much and how often it happens.

I never saw it before either myself, not until I happened to see it going on in my 25mm Siren with the glass inner tube. I thought it interesting enough to post about.

Edit: do you think that that is why Digiflavor put that "Oil Film" on there, to catch some of that ? Naw, they wouldn't think that far ahead or be doing that much R&D on a unit of this price range.

I think you hit the nail on the head just there......

I think half of them don`t even know what they`re doing most of the time - seeing improvements on the 2nd or 3rd iteration that could easily have been incorporated into the original design if they had bothered doing a bit of research.

They can`t even always manage to get the specifications of a 510 drip tip correct between them - so what hope is there for us.

This RTA really caught my eye recently after seeing several very good reviews online. I currently mainly use Kayfun Mini V3 clones, which have been fine for my MTL needs, but they don't hold much juice, and their TC performance is only so-so (at least using SS 316L wire on an iStick Pico 75W). So I set out to get one or two of the 22mm Digiflavor Sirens, as the possible issues with the 25mm model are not something I want to deal with - and I don't really want to have my build deck visible to myself and the world all the time either. Of course, there are generally plenty of the 25mm model available all over the place, but I couldn't find the 22mm (in either color, didn't matter) in stock anywhere - unless I wanted to buy 100 of them at a time!

I searched far and wide. Some Canadian suppliers (one or two) have the 22mm model, but strangely none appeared to be able to ship anywhere outside of Canada, so that was a disappointment. I finally found one 22mm model (a SS one) left in stock at Cigabuy, so I ordered that for about $25 with registered S&H, then checked back and saw that Cigabuy is now also showing these as out of stock. So maybe I got the last one available nearly anywhere? Or maybe not. Who knows. I'm glad I was at least able to order one - even if it ends up turning into a back order. We'll see.

I'm enjoying reading this thread. Since I'm a (loose) MTL guy, I hope my Siren (whenever it eventually shows up) shows up with the air diffuser included, but it looks like I can do a workaround fix if it doesn't.

Welcome to the thread. I'm glad to hear you found a 22 mm Siren.

They are very hard to find. I asked 2Fdeal.com if anyone in China will clone them and was told no, they won't, so that's another possibility down the drain. Hopefully, someone will make something similar, even if it's not a clone, at some point. If they do, I'll definitely pick up at least one. Until that happens, I'm hanging my hat on the Coppervape Hussar RTA. The Hussar has even better flavor than the Siren and comes with two different airflow pins, so it is pretty customizable.

Just ordered a Hussar from Coppervape buddy, you say flavor is better than the Siren, is it a thirsty beast or normal? :D

I ordered a Hussar as well plus the custom cap so you can use your own drip tips. WIll be a week or so until I get it from FT. I have been really happy with the results of putting in the oring and tightening the Siren. I have 6 of them adjusted and they are working well. I ordered a Troll clone from FT thinking I could customize it down to be single coil MTL as it is definitely a dual coil DL atty. Took me a while but I ended up using Teflon tape to block the second set of juice holes and to block off 3 of the 4 air holes. Also had to use it on my drip tip to make it fit into the built in wide mouth drip tip. It actually works really well and the airflow matches the other rtas that I have. I like playing around with these things!!!

Congrats on your success with the Sirens and in turning a cloud beast, Troll, into a great MTL vape! It blows my mind the way you are able to customize your attys!

I think you'll like the Hussar. I loved the Hussar for the short time I was able to use it before I lost the positive post insulator. Now, it won't work until I get another base or post insulator. I don't remember it being more thirsty than the Siren, but I could be wrong about that. I bet 52 could tell you more about that. I've got Hussar #2 on the way from FT, plus an extra base for the first Hussar, and some KF post insulators that I hope will work on the Hussar as well. Soon, I'll have two Hussars up and running.

The positive post insulator on the Hussar isn't easy to lose unless you try to put in a smaller airflow pin. The next time I do that, I'll be extremely careful! Heck, I never knew posts had insulators before the Hussar!

Nope! I lost it and didn't realize I had lost it. I had no idea there was any such thing as a positive post insulator, so it took me a good while, and lots of help from vapers who know a lot more than I do to figure out why my Hussar wasn't working. In the meanwhile, my dogs were, as usual, romping around and under my desk, so I think the insulator probably stuck to one of their feet, because I couldn't find it.

One day you will find it when you are looking for something else that you lost!!! That's the normal way things work.
