That's cool Fad. All folks have to do is read this thread to find out how to fix theirs. If they want to fix theirs bad enough, then all they have to do is to read a little bit. That's how I find things out about fixes and tips to all my other vape gear, I read the associated threads.

The primary reason was actually the capacity - refilling every 30 minutes isn`t appealing, really only good for short trips outdoors or for those who don`t mind refilling continually.

There were other quirks and annoyances but I didn`t take notes and they didn`t make it long enough to be able to make a full review.

30 minutes was a guess, I suspect it would be markedly less if it was just the one device being used, chain vaping obviously doesn`t help.
The positive thing to come out of this is that I now know to keep away from anything less than 3.5ml in capacity, that`s the lowest sensible limit for me.

Watching the juice disappear in real time was quite unnerving :)

I had a Vapage VMod XL when they first came out (whenever that was) I didn`t get on with it...

constantly paranoid about squeezing that bottle in case of dry hits, it was a nightmare ! :?:

It really wasn`t funny at all, this is the reason I need clear tanks only, so I can check the juice level instantly - I do it subconsciously most of the time.

Did have those 7ml Kayfun tanks way back, except they were ridiculous...

now if someone could make a really smart design for a 'side by side' while keeping those dimensions very tight, that would be interesting.

In the past there was no choice but to fix things if you wanted them to work.

I spent hours (& money) on vape DIY, drilling holes in Kayfun bases and all manner of things - I did get to the point where I said I wouldn`t do that again, preferring atomisers that worked out of the box but it doesn`t always work that way.

So I have been drilling the airpin on the SER v4 today  It`s better now !

I also decided to cease negotiations with the Hussar, I sort of knew instinctively from day one it wasn`t going to work out so just about to make the final decision of calling time.

Don`t get me wrong, they vape just fine - it`s just a few annoying quibbles I have that turned me off.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Kat & I vaped nothing but blister packs until about 18 months ago (?), then moved to KF v2L+, which are fairly straightforward.

To be honest, the Siren is about the first thing we might have wrestled with, but I can't be bothered. I like it a lot, and vape it daily, but it never leaves my desk (due to possibility of wetting itself). I treat my Nebula Wines the same, and like them a lot too.

My O&A stuff is all fiddle-free (Egg Rolls, KFs, & Billet Boxes w/coils).

Everything has its place (for me), and I enjoy them all at different times, and under different circumstances.

The more I use the Egg Rolls (Ego One Mega v2 Lite or whatever it is), the more I like them. I was a slow adopter, but I'm really seeing their value as I continue to use them.

Now that I know what to do to my Sirens to be able to keep the juice on the inside of the tank, I like them even more. I am lucky I guess, as I can read into a thread enough to see if an atomizer, or mod, will be right for me before I even buy it, and thought that the Siren filled that bill so I bought into it, and now glad that I did.

When I was trying to decide between the KayFun and the Lemo V1, I read almost all of the Lemo thread before I made my decision, as I had already been reading up on the Kayfun's (clones that is) and knew enough about them at that point in time. I decided on the Lemo, as in my opinion, the Lemo V1 would serve me and my style of vaping better than the KayFun would and had not read about any glaring shortcomings associated with the Lemo (everyone it seemed, was drilling out their KayFuns to get better air flow) that would make me regret buying it. All I had to do was get my coil building and wicking method down and it has served me very nicely. The Lemo V1 was my first RTA, and at that point coil building and wicking were very new to me, so I had a lot to learn. It took some time to get everything down correctly to make the Lemo perform as it was intended, but I stayed at it and was rewarded for my dedication to task.

The only vape gear that I made a mistake with in buying, was the Merlin RTA by Augvape, I bought to soon, and was rewarded for my impatience with a leaky atomizer. Had I waited a bit longer and read up on it more thoroughly I would have read about the folks (ones that were much better versed in building than I was at the time) that were having leaking issues (the same that I was having) and that they later concluded that it was the fault of the factory (badly press fitted parts) for not putting out a consistent product, as those that were found to be leaker's by the more experienced builders could not be made not to leak. I had one of those Merlin's unfortunately. I had bought too soon, and paid the price.

I have also learned which reviewers to give credence to, as so many are Big Power, Big Air, Direct Lung, Big Clouds folks that have absolutely nothing in common with the way that I vape, and their reviews show it. The best reviewer that I have found that has vaping tendencies similar to me is PBusardo, as he is a Loose MTL vaper (at least I consider him to be), but will at least cover those aspects of a RTA/RDA/Clearo that pertain to those of us that like a Tight MTL experience (you know, Tootle Puffers, there, I said it;)), the majority of reviewers Don't. PBusardo is not a perfect reviewer by any means, but, his opinions are the most pertinent (for me) of all the reviewers that I have seen. He covers more ground in his reviews than just about any reviewer out there, along with Danial at DJLsb Tech (but there again, Danial is a Direct Lung Hitter) so not Germain to my style of vaping. I use reviews from DJLsb for mainly mods, and PBusardo's reviews for atomizers, each have their place when I am looking at a piece of vape gear to buy.

I didn't mean for this to go on and on but, I did it again. Sorry for the Book folks.

Well said.

I also look at P Busardo`s vids, in the past specifically it was for the tech specs of mods - critical when dealing with new and unknown chipsets
(even then we didn`t always get all the pertinent info)

but I always watched his oscilloscope tests...PWM on early devices drove me up the wall and round the twist...then back again ;)

I don`t need to see 5 minute vids of someone blowing clouds, close ups of decks and important stuff is critical, you can somethimes see one thing and know instantly if it`s a hit or miss and move on accordingly.

I agree on the P Busardo's reviews.

There's also a famous guy in Italy doing pretty good reviews (he names himself "the guru of the vape" or in Italian "il santone dello svapo") who I trust, although now a little less since he reviewed the Pallas and gave good "grades" - so good that I was thinking on buying it - but then I saw the review from P Busardo of the same gear pointing out a major flaw of the deck(also pointed out by the "guru" to be fair, but not emphasized enough).

If i`m looking for something specific with details, I`ll check out the non-english speaking reviews and just turn the sound off.

Sometimes you can see what you need to know without a commentary - there was a German reviewer who did some intricate closeups, NavyLifeguard (iirc ?)...and others.

Are you drilling the SER v4 air pin to make the draw tighter or looser? What is it you don't like about the Hussar?
