I'm about ready to try the SS Mesh tubes (going from the bottom of the tank to the top of the deck floor, then laying the KGD coming out of my coil on top of the Mesh tubes) myself, was just vaping off the last of a tank full before starting on that experiment. If that goes OK, then I will try using SS rope to see how that works.

Honestly, this tank still seems to seep excessively on me every time I refill it, so it is far from perfect, but at least it doesn't leak on me at other times, for now.

My search for the perfect, affordable MTL RTA continues.

mine does`nt seep too much if at all for the first tank or two if it`s wicked as well as i can but still enough to annoy me slightly and it is annoying if you find yourself checking for it with any tank,
i think we all would prefer ones that you just build on and fill (with no leaks) and forget about until the next refill.

have you considered the Doggy Style RTA?......
i bought the SXK one a week or two ago from fasttech and i`m liking it quite a lot, it`s got great reviews, it`s small, cheap and simple, but it`s not a glass tank unfortunately.....
and also bottom fill which can put some people off.

My wicks usually touch the bottom of the tank and sometimes wrap around the airflow tube, but sometimes they're beneath the build deck but above the bottom of the tank. I don't notice a difference with leaking or seeping, but I don't have leaking or seeping problems. Every now and then, I'll see moisture, enough to wipe it with a paper towel, but it's almost always because I didn't shut down the afc before refilling. If it's because there's not enough wick, I use Classwife's fix for adding wick and that takes care of the problem.

Sounds like I will try having my wick longer then. What is Classwife's fix for adding wick when you've not used enough wick in the first place?

Cut a thin strip of KGD, a little wider than a match stick and press it onto the underside of your wick where it emerges from the coil. Because your wick is damp with liquid, it should stick without problems. Then you can trim the length of the extra wick so it is no longer than the original wick. It's easy peasy! Then put the tank back on the base and vape away!

That SXK DoggyStyle 2K16 looks interesting. I'm not thrilled with the bottom fill style, but that isn't necessarily a deal killer in a 3.5ml tank, especially at $10 a pop for one of these. It's cheap enough for me to buy one or two to try out anyway.

With my 22mm Siren I've been using a 3.5mm ID coil, which I wasn't putting enough wick in, so I've dry burned the SS316L coil and stuffed it with more wick, going all the way down to the base of the tank this time with the tail. My first fill of one of these tanks after replacing and priming the wick usually doesn't seep very badly, if at all. My first fill with this setup was no different. The follow up refills will show me if I've improved anything or not. As always, I will report back my results.

I agree the bottom fill can be a bit of a pain, but agree with others, it is a great MTL tank, easy to build and wick, and cheap too :)

I keep seeing that people are closing the AFC on the tank before refilling. How? Mine does close off. Goes to the smallest hole to the largest and all in between. That's it.

mine stops with the biggest hole (open) in one direction and stops one click past the smallest hole in the other (closed)

If you've got it on the smallest air hole, turn it slightly to the right or slightly to the left until you see no air hole. If you have a black Siren, I understand it can be difficult to see the afc holes well, but all I have are the SS ones, and it's no problem for me to see the afc.

I've tried that but it really does not seal. I can still see through. It's never fully closed.

maybe a QC thing......my afc is`nt evenly flush all the way around, i can push against it on one side and it does`nt move....push on the other and it moves inwards slightly towards the inner wall (if that makes sense)

I'm sorry to hear that! Your Sirens must be a little off-kilter. It's a breeze for me to close the afc. I wonder if you could find something that's just the right size to plug the hole with or put tape over the afc when refilling?
