with the 3mm coil i`ve never got through more than 2 tanks before seepage appeared.

I've had the very same experience with mine and a 3mm build. With 3mm coils I had my wick (KGD) Very Tight, with 3.5mm coils my wick was Snug, and with 4mm coils I had just enough in there so that my coil would not be Popping all the time. Popping is different than Crackling, Crackling is OK, Popping is a sign of either not enough wicking material, or, pumping too much power to the coil for the build that you have made, IMO, and this I have found to be true with my Siren's.

Your Welcome kydo, glad I could help you out, if even just a little. I have been asking myself that very same question, "Why didn't I try a bigger coil way back in the beginning" ?? Sure would have saved me a lot of work, time, frustration, and juice.

Be advised though kydo, that you will get some condensation at some point, even with the 3.5mm and 4mm coils. With my Siren 25mm tanks and the see-thru glass deck tubes, I have watched the vapor first rise (as you vape watching in the mirror), then fall back down into the air tube and disappear under the coil (when your done with your vape) after a tank or two, and at some point your air flow ring will get damp (but not wet like before), but take a Kleenex or damp cloth, and just wipe the air flow ring off. It's still a lot less mess than before though, and really no big deal. Sometimes I'll take a Kleenex and twist one end, stick it into the biggest air hole on the air ring and swab it out to get the built up condensation mopped up (there really isn't much), but that's only after about the 5th or so tank full, and I'm a very fastidious vaper, as far as cleanliness goes. My wife says that I'm "....". Go Figure. ;)

i don`t think i`ll get through more than 4 tanks full with any of my juices before a re-wick is needed,
(sounds like some get through lots of refills....not sure if it`s my juices or the way i vape or something else why i don`t).....so if everything is in order i may not get condensation or hardly noticeable anyway.....i`m just glad i`ve found an improvement......
any moisture around the afc ring from now on i will be blaming my wicking....
or even better, condensation :)

Yeppers kydo. The juice you use will have a big impact on wick longevity. I use a light colored, almost clear, unsweetened juice, and can get 20 to 21 tank fulls before I have to change wicks. I refill when I have about 0.6ml left in my tank (22mm Siren), about half way from bottom of tank up to the bottom of the deck base.

i`m aware from using dark NET juices that they make quite a difference but even my lighter colored juices, though not clear in color i thought may last longer than they do between rewicks,
i mostly use tobacco juices and although the "normal" ones are lighter i suppose they would still be considered medium or light/medium in color at best....
and some probably have sweeteners in them.

My coils caramelize some, but when I can taste something Burnt, that's when I change wicks, so about 20 to 21 tank fulls for my Menthol/Mint mix. I've heard of several folks changing wicks every day though, but I don't know how many of those are High Wattage, Big Air users either. Some change wicks every few days just because it only takes a few minutes to do and cotton is next to nothing in price. I'm a bit lazy, I run mine till it dies and taste bad.

I'm with ya, 5-2. Lazy as the day is long (so I guess I'm lazier in the summer?).

I'm going on Fill #20 in my Siren (v1) but it's strictly unflavored. I do believe that makes a HUGE difference.

Other tanks, for example with Sinn Rollz (cinnamon rolls) need to be rewicked WAY too often. Certain flaves just gunk and that's the way it is, uh huh, uh huh.

Seems that the Older I get, the Lazier I become.

20 fill-ups on ur Siren, Good Deal Kat. And the seeping issue ??

If I very carefully, and methodically, do the KF top fill method, I've got complete loveliness and not a seep in sight.

I had to go with a 3.5mm coil to get it to finally behave, but, whatever you have to do to get there is the most important thing with these contrary RTA's. If 3mm coils does the trick for you, then good deal, run with it. Problem Solved, Finally.

I'm sorry to ask this, but I think I might have missed any comparisons between the Siren V1 and V2. Anybody try the 2, and what did you think (I'm really interested in the flavor comparison mostly) ??
Hi 52, the V1 has a tighter more defined flavor and the V2 is more open and all over the place, I really wish they kept the air diffuser from V1 because I think that it made a difference. The V2 has a lot of improvements but went backwards on the flavor department.

I agree, I really like the new V2 with the improvements, great to have no seepage/leaking issues, and really like the top fill, but do not think the flavor is as good as the V1 and believe it is down to the diffuser, they used it on the Ares, and I think the Ares tops the Siren V2 on flavor too.

Nailz, bob, thank you both for that. The flavor is what I was worried the V2 had screwed up, and I guess they did, but wanted to check first. I'll just keep all my V1's (since I have them fixed now) and just use them and my Berserker, and my Hussar's. Thanks again guys.
