I guess this is just kind of a general question not a complaint.

I have two nickel plated GGTS one purchased from Vapor Kings #985 the other from COV #1290. I obviously have not had #1290 very long but #985 since day one gets dirty much much quicker than #1290. #985 will turn really dark within a couple of days around where I put my palm and also on the button. (I do wash my hands in case you were wondering.:)) While #1290 does not appear to need any cleaning at all. They have both been used at the same rate.

So anyway just wondering why, thoughts?

Just one other thing to add i do love them both and every once and awhile i do like it dirty :)

Not sure if these images help, they aren't great quality. Also it just been cleaned so you can't see how dirty it gets. I was hoping that IMEO would have a list of what #985 should be.

I'm betting it's not...

And I did a proggy on cleaning the GGTS on Monday gone...The Haze Hour will get you there...

Very nice video Hifi and I agree about cape cods, they work very well and they have a nice smell too. I have mention them before. Every GG user and all mod users have to see this video. Very nice work as usual mate

I cant remember now from what number I started to make nickel GG but if earlier numbers than 985 are nickel then the one you have is nickel too spider. I am still going to the same store to nickel GG. I also dont think that they change the proccedure of putting nickel on GG. I really dont have an answer on this.

I usually have very dirty hands, very corossive sweat but I never clean my all day use nickel GG. But I remember that the first big tube I had (I gave it to my wife) was getting dirty more often than the one I have now. Its really strange!

As a related matter to this, I believe it is high time all GG retailers started including cleaning and maintaining equipement (cloths, autosol etc) in their stock. It is better business to have both your GG and the tools to properly take care of it in one place...

i think thats a good idea... im pretty sure i have seen a gg supplier in italy selling their mods with cleaning supplies and noloax. maybe they weren't gg's but it seems conducive to creating a one stop shop. atties/ carts/accessories , batts, pvs, juice/dyi, maintenance supplies

I had sold my nickel plated one to Alisab (#889), but I had bought #1057 months prior and it was aluminum. I believe you had sent the first batch out for plating, then sent the suppliers a later batch which were aluminum (around October) then sent out that first batch of nickel after it came back and have been nickel ones since then.
