Turbo- the R 4's do the same thing. At least the couple hundred + that I've taken apart. I just push it down gently till it stops. I've come to believe that's where it was intended to be. Don't know...
I tossed out 2 almost new v4s last week because I couldn't get them to stop flooding. They were so bad I thought I was hitting a water .....
I take all mine apart for inspection before use, and this is one of the first things I check. Almost always I have to apply heat to shrink it further.
Soldering iron, kitchen match, Bic lighter, or whatever. Takes some practice to get it right. Keep the wires out of the way.
Sounds like a soldering iron is the easiest.
On a side note - are they making LR XL cartos yet?

I had another one start flooding today, so remembering what you said I took the bottom plug out and wiggled the cermac cup down a bit. I couldn't feel it move and it didn't seem loose but it fixed the problem, Tanks bro.
The Turemo brand fits nice and snug. The smaller syringes like BD are too small. I tried it today with the Turemo
and they work great!
