If you've tried some samples of Discreet, you can now get it online at getsnus.com If you haven't, now is a good time to try it out. It's 99 cents a package for 10 portions and the flavors are awesome and have no burn to them. They're a little sweeter than Swedish snus, but not sickeningly sweet. It's a good balance if you ask me. :p My favorite is the Strawberry, mmmmm :) The peach goes really good with iced tea, and the 2 mint flavors are good any time. I haven't had the "full flavor" ones, but from what I've seen on another board, they are good too. Much better than the Camel stuff.

Thanks Shiela, I was going to order from getsnus soon... Probably sooner now...Does the "Discreet" need refridgerated? Or are they like the purified..Are they strong/med/weak? ..As you can tell I am not real educated in snus..Yet, I'm trying to learn/try just enough to stock up on some. Along with me vaping gear...So far I really like the flavor of the citrus/menthol oomp..

You had me at "no burn" lol

I've been using samples of Discreet for the past week, and agree with Sheila. These are pretty darn good. I'm not sure they can replace some of the Swedish snus I like, but I'd guess I could use Discreet snus 80% of a day.

I like Strawberry and Peach best and "natural" the least. Natural really does taste like tobacco -- and, sorry, but tobacco is not very tasty. The two mints are .. minty (I am not a menthol or mint fan).

They are said to be 7.4mg of nicotine, comparable to the standard Swedish snus or the Camel. I did NOT find them strong.

These come in little plastic pouches with a zip-lock top. After opening, they seal tightly shut just like a ziplock bag and slip easily into a shirt pocket. They do not need refrigeration and are dry pouches, like General Mini Mint or Oomph Citrus/Menthol (two others that I like a great deal).

FYI: The local store that sold General snus had been selling them at an introductory price of $2.75 a tin for many months. I bought two last week. Went back Sunday and they are now $4.85 a tin. I told the guy this was my last purchase in Florida, due to taxes. I said I'd be ordering online until the federal government shuts off that option. Sad day for Florida tobacco businesses. They are being driven out of business.

Kody: As bluntly as I can put it, these have no future. They have a past, but no future. You can see the tidal wave against all things tobacco crashing ashore now. E-cigs will be gone in no time. Flavored cigarettes will be gone. Then attention will turn to smokeless products, most definitely including snus and dissolvables.

The children argument will be our downfall.

It is easy to use these high-nicotine products invisibly. Sit in class with a snus tucked between cheek and gum and you can be in nic-buzz heaven. Same with dissolvables, like the Ariva, Stonewall and Camel pellets. They have already been branded "tobacco candy" in speeches to the Senate before passage of the bill giving the FDA authority over all tobacco products.

A dissolvable costs a mere fraction of Big Pharma's lozenge, yet has the same nicotine level -- and tastes great. A snus gives more nicotine than Big Pharma's gum, at a fraction of the cost. No tobacco tax yet, either.

Can this last? I give it two to three years. No more. After that, the products will not be allowed to be sold in the U.S., although Sweden will continue its snus production. Others obviously foresee the same future; just follow the stock prices of Star Scientific after the FDA won power over tobacco.

Enjoy this while you can.

I'll delete that little "c" blurb when I post this ;-) That's just how some refer to anything with flavoring other than plain or menthol. :) And yes RNR, you'll most likely love those 2 flavors! Strawberry is the fave here.

It's actually more like a foil package than plastic...or foil on the inside, plastic on the outside. You'll see when you get some! :)

I couldn't agree more TB about how snus costs so much less than those good for nothing lozenges/gum/patches and actually does work. So much for free enterprise in this country...unless you have Philip Morris in your back pocket that is ;-)

When I ordered my discreet I was reading reviews and someone mentioned that the only thing that helped them quit analogs was the Roda Lacket Claq Qui..Thinking I would share this with my brother inlaw who want's to quit but, not too into the ecigs, I ordered a can.. Then on my reciept I noticed that it was 24 mg? As opposed to the 4 mg discreets...I'm guessing I shouldn't use these with vaping? Too strong?

They also sent me a fee can of Odens Classic...Has anyone tried this flavor? Know the strength of it?..

Oh and one more question if I may.. I know discreet and a few other snus do not need refridgeration... But what about long term storage? Should they all be stored in the fridge?..Thanks you guys

I think it said 24 grams in the can, meaning that's the weight of the snus, not the nicotine content. Mini portions (except for thunder minis) normally have 4mg of nicotine and regular portions have 8. Starks have around 16mg of nicotine.

I haven't tried the Odens Classic, but I have tried the Oden's Classic Cinnamon and they're pretty good. Most people keep their snus in the fridge or in the freezer if it's going to be stored for any length of time. I don't think it really has to be kept in the fridge, but I do normally keep any opened ones there, even Discreet. I just like them nice and cold during the summer :p

Also, I wouldn't take a can out of the freezer, let it thaw, and put it back and forth between freezer and the fridge/sitting on your desk. It'll be fine by keeping it in either the fridge or just out.

The Claq Qui is 13 mg per pouch and is very good. The Odens classic is 8 mg unless it says sterk on it then it is 17 mg. I've only had the sterk version and it is pretty good though I like the cinnamon odens better.

My shipment of Discreet from getsnus.com came today. I got it because of this thread.

I'm impressed! It's very good, and very cheap. Service from getsnus.com was fantastic... cheap, and fast shipping. I also got a free tin of General Mint and a pen in the package.

I got 5 each of strawberry, peach, and cool mint. I tried the strawberry first, and it had pretty good flavor that lasted about 2 hours. I know they say snus is just good for about 30 minutes, but I normally just suck them until the flavor is gone. The cool mint was very strong flavor-wise, but the flavor didn't last quite as long. I just put in a peach, and so far, so good... it's a nice peach flavor, and a little more subtle than the strawberry.

For a dime a portion, I think these are fantastic. The only thing I'd like different with it is a little more salt, but that's just me. I may try just adding a pinch of sea salt to a package and see what happens.

Thanks for the recommendations!

I've been using some of the Discreet packs for more than a week now. I like them, but they cannot be my one-and-only snus source. They certainly are pleasant, but I think I've grown fond of the burn/hit I get from Swedisn snus. Discreet does not "hit".

I also keep some Camel on hand, and try to always have General Mini Mint. But you can bet that I'll keep ordering Ettan and Lucky Strike, two tobacco-flavored snus brands that I like a lot.

TropicalBob, Pardon me for asking?

I've been looking for a place that will sell Lucky Strike and CAMEL snus
to America. Where are you buying these that they ship these particular
brands to America?

Swedish Camel and Lucky Strike crashed and burned earlier this week. RJR pulled rank and ordered it, so the brand-name products cannot compete in the U.S. I ordered Lucky Strike with every order -- and it is now banned. I did not like the two Camel products I tried, so no loss.

RJR owns those names, of course, and licenses them for use in other parts of the world. But it retains control over whether its brand names can compete with its own products in the U.S. And these will not be allowed to do that.
