I didn't like the Captain. Just got an order today and mixed some FA Desert Ship.

Seems like it would work pretty good with some other tobacco types if you still have any. I was planning on making another batch of Captain and then trying a seperate batch of either Captain/FA RY4 or Captain/FA Cuban Cigar. I always put a drop or two of either tobacco extract or tobacco absolute in all of my tobacco mixes. It just seems to add a little something. I have the FA Desert Ship but havent tried it yet. I lost the dam$ bottle a while back and just happened to find it about a week ago. Not sure how it got in my sock drawer but Im going to try it this weekend.

The FA Desert Ship is my favorite tobacco flavor. I keep it in my DID atty. It's very very close to Dekang.

I didn't like the Captain at all so I gave it away. If I had of even liked it a little I might have kept it and tried a mix.

I anxious to try the Desert Ship. Mixed at just 1% it smells very strong.

I just mixed up some too. Was going to wait until the weekend but reading about it made me impatient enough to go clean out a bottle for a new batch.

I mixed my first batch of Captain kind if light and couldn't really taste anything. I added a few more drops of Captain and a drop of Captain Black and thought it was really good but wasn't sure how much the capt blk helped because I had never tried it before either. Thanks for the info.
Where did you purchase the Captain Black? Premix or flavoring? TIA!

Fran can you describe what you didn't like about the Captain? I would like to try it and Captain Black both, but hate to spend the $$'s afraid I won't like.
It is a very light tobacco pipe flavor. I would say a mix between burley/virginia. It is dry but mellow. Very light on the sweetness as well. At least this is what I am getting out of it.

I have only tried this flavor in a Kanger T3. Equipment does play a role in flavor profiles. I will clean out my rba.

WL just started carrying it recently (flavor concentrate). I havent purchased any premade juice in a while. I always get my nic base there and noticed it the last time I bought some.

toto I didn't like the taste at all so I gave it away. The gal I sent it to loves it.

Thank you Fran....

Thanks Sdh....I am at one of those times again whether is it my equipment, my liquid, or my darn taste buds. I am in awe of the peeps that find one flavor and vape it 24/7 forever. Humm maybe it's all mental....:ohmy:I just didn't say that did I.

Don't feel bad. I use to vape only one flavor. I vape two flavors now. I can vape it all day but I usually vape with something else to play with my taste buds. It seems to work...trickery I say! Damm those taste buds!

It must be seedmans. I will have to check it out. I have tried the old formula of Captain Black. It was okay but it was a long time ago.

I stumbled accross the following recipe a while back and just tried it last night, it's really good. I believe that the person who originally posted it goes by the user name "switch". If you have the flavors you should give it a try. I used 90% (PG) and 10% (PGA)

48% 50mg PG nic = 4.8ml
20% VG = 2ml
7% PG = 0.7ml
1% PGA = 0.1
3% H2O = 0.3ml
14 % Butterscotch = 1.4ml
7% Irish Cream = 0.7ml

I'm going to mix the FA Black Tea. This flavor smells very strong. Thinking 1% should do it. I can't decide to mix it with FA Peach, or FA Bergamot. That's after I vape it as a standalone. It smells exactly like a fine black tea.

2% is very nice.

What's Bergamot?
