I just made my hangsen essence Desert Ship at 8% with couple drops EM and tastes nice :)

what is EM ?

The more the flavoring is added, the more the tobacco will stand out. I like the 2.8% because the other flavors will be more dominant. 5% is a good starting point. The reason I backed down is because I'm seeing fast coil gunking from the plant matter. If I get the same results from the 2.8%. I'll probably go back up. I'm vaping the ry4 at 2.8%, and sure is tasty.

do you mean 2.8% ry4 with 50/50 pg/vg and nic? or do you also add other flavors to this recipe?

sorry for newbie questions.

Ethyl Maltol. Mixed at 10% it is cotton candy flavor. Some people use it in smaller percentages to sweeten their mix. Some people use it to help round out tobacco types or to take the harshness out of a blend. I don't really use it that much anymore but it's nice to have around.

Got bored and started reading this thread from the beginning (prior to Guest thread moving gate). It's pretty cool seeing how a thread this size got started and reading all of the first impressions. I wish I could found it when I first started, could have saved myself a lot of trouble, and headaches. I still have a lot of reading to do to catch up. Lol.

SDH, you inspired me to mix up a batch of my cherry cigar.

Shilo, how did your qwest for the perfect RY4 turn out?

I probably would go lower on flavoring as well if I had a perfect rebuild-able atty system. :)

Get yourself a genny. There are a couple of inexpensive clones that are really nice. I can send ya some vapemail that will help make setting things up a lot easier. Won't have it in hand for another 3 weeks though. You can PM for details if you get one.

BTW-what is a genny? :)

Genesis style atomizer. An atty designed for use with ss mesh wick. They can be a pain in the ... for new users but once you get the hang of it you love it. It's just about all I use anymore. I have a Penelope but haven't used it for a while now. I will be putting it back in service for when I'm working though, I need something more pocket friendly.
