Speaking of the Hangsen T5... does anyone know if there is another Hangsen flavor that is similar? ...

So, I guess nobody knows of something similar. I wonder if anyone can give any Hangsen tobacco recommendations before I order?
Generally I go for things that are imitations of cigarettes (SC MLB, B&H, etc.). I like tobaccos with other flavors like vanilla or nut. Richer tobaccos like the SC Fr. Pipe and Winston Churchill are OK, but not what I'm looking for now. They get to be too much for me pretty quickly. I mostly use them as additives in recipes.

I'm thinking that maybe Fortune Strike of Parmal might be good. Anyone have any opinions on them? Since the RY4 is out of stock I was thinking of the RY3, and sweetening it up on my own. Any thoughts on the RY3?

Thanks. :)

Nothing really compares to 555. If you want a cig taste. Ry1 will be your best bet.

Thanks - I'll give that a try. Have you tried the RY3? I do like a plain cig-style flavor, but just as often I use those cig flavors as a base for a mix; adding hazelnut, vanilla, or caramel. Something that already has some of that going on would be good too.

YW. Yes the Ry3 has the same tobacco base as the Ry1. But, sweeter. Indian tobacco would be great for mixing. It tastes more like a chewing tobacco, which has a bolder, lower tone to it. The Ry1 and Ry3 have more of a mid range to them.

Thanks again :)
Have you tried the Fortune Strike and Parmal?

BTW, I asked ECX if they knew when they'd have it again, and they said they may get Hangsens in next week. No promises, but maybe.
The Fortune Strike is very good. I never tried the Parmal though. I sure hope that happens soon. The waiting of the Ry6 is killing me! :D

Fortune Strike, RY1 and Flue Cured are ones that I use the most in addition to the 555. Several of the others are pipe tobacco-ish or cigarish and although good would not fall into your desired flavor range. Jimi this is getting eerie how often I agree with you ;)

Don't mind me guys just practicing multi quotes...lol

I don't care too much for 555 so I cannot comment. Where is JimiD? :)

Oh, my order has been sitting in Bellingham for two days. I hope it does not take 10 days like last time. If it is...I am reconsidering my flavoring vendor.

This is going to come in handy for all the replies on this kind of thread. I hope ECX gets everything squared away for you :)

I hope I didn't say something to upset anyone. I am not a fan of 555. It's okay but I would totally put forth my dislike for a nutty flavor. I would not want to taint a true lover of 555.

On the other note of ecx. I truly love the idea of flavoring at one place/vendor. I just don't get the extreme long processing time at Bellingham. It should not take 3 days to process. I don't feel like I should have to pay priority for a small package. The value of my purchase would indeed be costly compared to other vendors. I feel I am losing trust in this particular vendor. Action's do speak louder than words. I suppose I am just disappointed. I will eventually move on if another vendor can carry some of the similar flavors. Most of you know I had so much praise for this vendor.

And you do have much praise for this vendor. We've helped so much :)

I would move to another myself if i could find the three flavors they have i can't find anywhere else. The problem that lies with that is,the same three flavors i use for most,if not all,of the recipes i make and use.One of the flavors actually can be found elsewhere but i'm not paying thru the nose for shipping costs.

Sounds like a problem with the post office not the vendor.

Yes it is and the hold up in bellingham is what the OP was talking about, unfortunately the vendor pays the price in the end because of it.We were not complaining about the vendor at all, just the hold up at the post.

Yes it is. An repeat pattern at Bellingham PO. I am the OP of this thread. I have been ordering from ECX since June of 2010. My last order took 10 days to obtain. So yes, it does effect the vendor because they know about this. I already know they are losing customers due to this problem and some other issues.
Maybe I should just ask the mods to shut down this thread and be done with it.

I would ask that you not shut down this thread. I read this thread every day and learn from your conversations:)

ETA: Perhaps we can all agree to post elsewhere about the USPS issues? I started reading this thread because of the thread title, "flavoring."

I musta got lucky, I ordered on a Friday afternoon and it got here Monday morning. I'm gonna see if I still have the tracking number and see if it went through there. I don't mind waiting on an order, as long as its consistent and I can plan for it. If one order took three days and the next took three weeks, I'd be annoyed too. Maybe if they get enough complaints they'll offer other shipping options.
