DIY Flavoring Thread - Part 2

I don't taste grass but I use only a very tiny drop but it is already mixed. It just adds a touch of oomph to the mix. Somewhere I was going frantic over making a black n mild recipe. I could not get the base to my complete liking. However, it did come close. Somewhere I have some notes on it.

I have some Oakwood I plan on making a apricot tobacco with the help of some FE & TE flavors.

Ok, so you add it to something or use it as your base tobacco. I Just want to find a good starting point for making tobacco blends. Would like something with a good 'smokiness' to it. Reading the ECX reviews, it sounds like It may be a good start, so I think I will be picking some up.

I use the absolute as a add in and not the base. I will look downstairs in my box to see the flavors I used in the past. Be back in a moment.

Okay I looked. It was seedmans I used for a base. However, I also used Flavorwest Havana as a base as well. 10-15%.
Seedmans captain black, commercial and blended worked well. I tried some flavorart as well. Black fire-one drop for some smokiness. DK tobacco extract was horrible for me. I could not stand the flavor. I have tried other flavorart tobaccos but did not enjoy them. Its me I think. 7 leaves I rehomed within 2 weeks of obtaining it. I suppose I am not fond of flavorart as I am of other flavorings. I am thinking about the tasty puff skunk flavoring. Hmmmmm! The only flavorart flavors that I would buy is the vanilla classic, vanilla tahiti, and oba oba. I do see some new flavors but I know if I buy them I will just be disappointed.

I think I will stick to the TE and FE flavors for now and have fun mixing them.

I've given up on finding a universal tobacco base, it just never works out for me

agree that Tobacco absolute is best used as a booster (sparingly) and not a base; it can take over really easy and ruin everything

I like it a lot. I was using at 5% but have dropped it down to a drop per ml. I like my flavors a little on light side. I feel it's a good balanced flavor, with not one component outshining the other. I look forward to comparing it to the RY4 double that should arrive this week.

I use absolute at a drop per 3 mils or more, its strong stuff. Smokey tobacco taste would be FA black fire.

I use Ikenvape atties too. My vape atty is the io6 but I do use the cannon for my testing flavors atty. I have not really had leaking problems, but then again I just test my flavors with it. I prime, vape, blow out and move to next flavor. The io6s are a dream and I love them and try to take immaculate care of them. One of the big reasons I love the TE line, they are good to my atties.

I usually use TPA RY4 Asian but since reading that many of you are liking the double, I threw it in on this order. I got the TE Nuport and Dhill too.

I've fallen in love with the TE RY4, would love to hear what the Asian RY4 tastes like too. Can you taste caramel in it?

Stash same here with TE -RY4 its my favorite so far.
Like the Oryental RY4 just not as much but curious about the Asian one now will have to order some next time.

I really should of went into more detail. It is a sweet flavor to me. Not a sticky sweet. I detect a good balance with the caramel and tobacco. Out the gate with just a warm bath, I do not detect floral, perfume, or over nuttiness.
I am vaping it at 4.2 volts with a 1.8 atty. 5mg 75/25 PG. 1 drop per ml.
I would love to hear more about the RY4 Double. I do like the TE RY4 but I like the TPA Asian much more.
The really big RY4 roundup is actually what turned me on to the RY4 Asian, Bill gave it a B+. I am unsure how far back in the thread it was.

Wow! I am vaping some delicious Cinn pear a friend sent me awhile ago. This stuff is really good. I just wish I could vape cinn all the time...but sadly I cannot. I use it as a treat.
