DIY Flavoring Thread - Part 2

put in an order with debb today =) (COV), to get the VMod (I think thats what its called) and a few other things. Still have an ordering itch that needs scratched. I really would like a rebuild-able atty (tank style) or a kick, not sure where to find either in the US. =(

I would have to vape in order to describe them, but as far as can remember, they are nothing alike. The cigar had a VZ b'&'m + smokey-ness to it and the french pipe, has an orange peel note in there and I can't recall what else. Again I have to vape tonight to really tell.

Well, upon vaping now that they have steeped for sometime, they do seem very similar.. so much so that I can't really say the differences at this point. Again, I will vape more tonight, gotta take someone to the park =)

thank you for the investigation LM, if they taste similar to you after steeping, I guess that's what it is....bummer, they are both great, but not distinct enough to warrant different names ;(

With flavors that are really strong, where there is such a fine line between enough and too much, I make a separate bottle of the flavor diluted to 10% in PG, label it Cinnamon Redhot 10, and use that for my mixing. Leaves room for fine tuning. I always do 10%, so if I find someone else's recipe using that flavor it makes the math easy (just add a zero).

I've started diluting these strong essences They way i did it tho was add 5:1 pg/essence and mark them with Max 15% Flavouring with my new sweet label maker.

Hmm your system of 10. if reccommended is 2.5% and some guy says he uses 2% in a recipe then you have to use... 8?% of your 10 right? Didnt quite get ur system..

I did like the fine tuning as you mention when you have dilluted it. adding 2-3 drops to a 5ml taste test made it hard to hit/pin point the amount of flavour. And i like to use 1ml syringes to add flavours.

I have one rebuild -able atty...My very first one and I love it....very much a learning experience...but I got it down...have another coming sometime...

No I haven't LM. I have used a carto/tank that he makes for the GOGO. Not in the same class as the DefCon. I would not hesitate to recommend him. He is just sending out his first batch other than a few that have tried them, so there should be some more reviews in a few days. I see that he is changing some things from feedback already.

I hope I will, on the last of my 120 ml 100mg bottle. thaught I would have made something vapable by now. yes that is good price on rebuildable atty, the brass connector will break if you drop it wrong or sit on it.

It may be that you have a diversion to alcohol based flavorings. Have you tried Capellas, flavorart or tfa.

I agree with sdh, don't give up. CRS here, so would you mind saying again what problems you are having with your DIY and what kind of all ready made that you like. Maybe someone can hit upon something that might help you. Yes, there can be many variables. Keeping it as simple as you can to start helps.


For myself, I have had some that I did not like when I first tried it only to really like it after it had aged. My DIY and ready made.
