(Almost caught up on this thread!)

It seems there are a number of "ultra pure/clear" nic juices lately. I have the WL Ice too and that definitely is extremely hard to detect any odor in (@ 60mg PG). I like it (also liked RTS for the record), but still makes you go hmm...

Yeah, I always wonder exactly what some of these vendors do if their nic is too clear lol I feel like the less additives, the better.

Randy said a long time ago that he refuses to add things like citric acid (I think) to his product in order to keep it clear and that is good by me :)

Before you say it LM, I really was going to bed but Sd kept me up lol J/K

The RTS does not have that nasty, dirt type smell that MFS and some others that I have tried though.
Some people like that taste and smell and attribute TH to it and even call it peppery. It does not smell or taste like pepper to me. It is just a bad taste and smell to me.

OK - just this one more and I'll stop talking about nic juice.

Since I've been trying a few nic juices of late (in addition to all the yummy flavors), I found this comment particularly interesting. Now, I haven't tried a large variety (only 4), but I get two distinct flavors types from nic juice: fish (almost like dried seaweed) or dirt. RTS is the one I've thought "earthy/dirt" on whiffing it. The monograph for USP nicotine labels the odor of nicotine "fish like", so I was reassured there wasn't anything wrong with my senses :p

When you get right down to it, I prefer the flavor from RTS over a fishy note - I think it goes good with tobacco flavors. At the end of the day though, with most flavors, I'd rather minimal or undetectable flavor. Unless there is somehow something "wrong" with these new ultra-clear/pure nic's getting around lately, my opinion is that they are the best.

BINGO! You do get it! The fish taste is what others describe as pepper  and is the taste that they attribute TH to! That is exactly the taste that I am not able to stomach.

Some of the stuff that I have tried is okay when first mixed but in just a matter of weeks that "fish" taste comes through in my mixes (I use light flavoring) RTS does not do this. I taste my flavors (not nic or fish) from the first mix through several months.

Has anyone else tried the Winston Churchill? I'm really loving this stuff at 5%! I wasn't sure about it at 3%, but now it's one of my favorites. I'm sort of wondering now if it is supposed to be a cigar, rather than Winston cigs. It seems to have a more bold flavor than other super concentrated cigarette type flavors that I've tried (also tried at 5%). I don't know... I don't vape any of these and think this tastes just like XYZ tobacco. They sort of remind me of tobacco, a bit. Whatever they taste like, I really like them all. I never much liked cigars when I smoked, so never bothered with any cigar flavors... so I don't know how cigar flavorings usually taste. Anyway, I'm really enjoying the rich tobacco-ish taste of it.
Something about it sort of reminds me of Vapor Station's Tampa. It never crossed my mind before, but now I wonder if Tampa is supposed to be a cigar-like flavor? They seem to stick with US cities for their tobacco names, and with all of the Cubans in FL, a FL city seems like a good choice. May be a stretch, but it's something that this WC got me thinking about.

I just got a fresh 250ML bottle of the RTS 100MG VG base, it's clean stuff, and I like it the best out of all the ones I have tried. The one that comes close though is the platinum ice from the UK, Emonty sent me some of this and though it a PG Base which I dont use a PG Base this stuff is also very clean, but the RTS is the Nic I'm sticking with, Randy is doing something right in my book, when I mix with this Nic Base my juice's really taste great no matter what I make it's just good tasting juice. none of that peppery nonsense going on no funny after taste or smell, just a great tasting juice all the way around

LOL, I probably get 'fish' in half of my mixes now. Thanks, a lot =)

Just use the fishy stuff with your tobaccos lol That is exactly what MFS and a few others taste like though. You should smell it when it goes bad. Then it smells like rotten fish

I had that fish taste nic before...not so good I may add. I will stick with ECX or RTS.

I think I saw something related to Nicvape on a review. Nicvape nicotine I Od on last year. It was not the right mg. Luckily I was already into diy for a few months and recognized the signs/symptoms of nic overload. I bought the 50mg/ml version. I swear that stuff was 100mg. I still have it...using for flowers...LOL I contacted the vendor and they said they would replace it only if I ordered from them again...no thanks. I have never had a problem with any other nic vendors level of nicotine.

Places/vendors I have tried
Ecx
rts
extremevaping
voidmist
box elder
MFS
Nicvape

The only two I will use is ecx and RTS. Good stuff...no fish smell.

I saw that Platinum Ice at TW but have never tried it. I have tried the DV flavors though and like what I have tried.

I need to get some nic soon, I have heard the FDA may try and get cool soon.

Man, you should have seen us back in 2010 when everyone was afraid there would be a ban lol It was insanity the way everyone was stocking up with years worth of stuff. Yep, I did too lol

I don't think it will be banned but I am not sure if internet sales might be stopped and pretty sure that it will all eventually be taxed.

I guess I do. I had commented because you called the others "dirt" and that's what I got from RTS rather than fishy. This was another thing that made me go hmmm (after reading the pharma docs saying nicotine smells like fish - i.e. what nic juice presumably should smell/taste like).
