Rl, I wish I could give you the spiel about health, concern for others, etc story of how I discovered vaping but that's not how it happened for me. Hubby lost his job almost 3 years ago, we were living in Florida then. We decided to move back to his home town to be near his mother since he's an only child and she's getting up in age. We rented an apt (smoking allowed) and then were told 2 months into our lease that neighbors on each side of us were complaining about the cigarette smell. We invested in air purifiers but got another nastygram from management threatening to evict us if they got any more complaints. We had paid our full one year lease in advance with little hope of getting a dime of that $17k back, and frankly just didn't want to battle it out in court. I googled e cigs, found ECF and the rest is history. A Pack of Marlboro Golds here in Manchester is $8.25 w/tax added.
Jeez, everybody has a story! It sucks when you are forced into it Bov! I was like you with the almost 3 PAD. I always said 2 cuz otherwise I would get the big lectures, but it was definitely closer to 3 LOL. I vaped and smoked for close to a year and didn't really think I would ever be able to stop smoking, nor did I really want to, to be honest. I started vaping out of curiosity and because my sons each bought me a trial. It was okay, but I wasn't too impressed. I wanted to be though. I was getting near 60 and had a recent bout of pneumonia and the resulting shortness of breath was pretty scary, not to mention the pleas of the grand kids and just all the reality checks that happen, not the least of which was the financial aspects of fixed income...and the constant nagging of my "dear" smoking spouse. Except he would never buy cigs by the carton to avoid he or anyone else knowing how much he actually smoked!!! And whenever he was trying to "quit", he would just smoke mine and then beotch at me for smoking more! No lie!!! Mind you I'm trying to keep track of my count and he is taking them! Grrr. Vaping he had no interest in, so I think eventually part of what convinced me to move to vaping completely, beside all the obvious things, was pure unabashed spite!!! If I wasn't smoking, neither could he, without having to man up and buy his own! Ha ha ha! I kept offering him my PV but he is such an azz he said why would he trade one stupid habit for another? I only explained the advantages like 1,000 times, but he is beyond stubborn and dense! (Yeah, we've been married 41 years, can you tell love is down the toilet? LOL!!!) And stupid me, I figured I'm saving all this money on vaping so no big deal when I ask for 50 bucks a month to get nic and some other asst vaping stuff, right? Ha ha ha!!!! Think again!!! I get : "Didn't you just buy a bunch of crap last week?" Or, "Jeez, you might as well just go back to smoking you're always spending all this money!" or, "you're kidding, you need more crap ALREADY!???" All said in the sweetest tone and very lovingly of course. NOT!!! What a PITA!!! I'm totally serious! This is my reward, nice right? Why do I stay with him? Honestly? Cause I can't afford to live by myself. How pathetic is that? BUT the plus is, I spend about 1/2 of my time living with my son, DIL and grandkids, they are my salvation! SO how the heck did this go from being a DIY thread to a shrink forum? LOL! Sorry kids! The nice part about posting is you can just skip over it!!!
Back to normal, has anyone here tried the FE cream and if so, what did you think of it? I am going to be placing an order there finally, and I keep hemming and hawing on this one. I have a lot of fruits so it seems like a natural, but if it sucks, I may want to get something else instead. I have a couple of TPA creams but one of them tastes vaguely like pineapple and the other, not sure what, but not cream. Do flavors alter over time? I had others taste it and they agreed, so it's not just my weird taste buds.
