If its any comfort the tobaccos tend to be trickier than the flavors you like. Do keep us posted and we are here if you need it. We have all been there---my first week with DIY was basically disaster as I liked two out of 20 flavors at the time. Hopefully you aren't as picky as me. With the fruits and mints I am sure you will do great in no time. Alot of people dive in head first and others like to sample each flavor first to get a good feel for it what it does on its own and the proper percentage. Like you're coffee for example...lol Bet that percentage is burned for all eternity in your mind.
Yep - "burned" is a good word...it was incredibly bitter. It's better now, not great, but better (still tinkering). I'm getting the hang of adding mint to something else - I've discovered that I'm not huge on big mint in my face, like it a little more subtle. I have made 2 that I like, but they are not my own recipes.
When you get perfume or soap instead of flavor, does that mean the amount of flavoring is too much, or is it too little? Or does it depend on what flavoring you are using? Example: for some fruits it may mean that you have added too much, and for some beverage flavors you have added too little? Just wondering if there is a rule of thumb that I haven't read about yet.

I would tend to think it means too much but its also very likely it means its too soon to judge and needs to steep more. Some flavors morph to something shockingly different than what they first seemed like.

That's good to know - I have set those aside to steep a bit longer before I mess with them more. I think I'm getting too obsessive about "fixing it" when I need to more carefully consider what I'm doing. It's teaching me some self-control, but I'm not entirely sure that I'm actually figuring out what I'm doing yet when it comes to achieving Mix Master status. I also only have TFA flavors right now, and I think their individual flavor strengths vary pretty widely, so it's not as easy as adding X% every time. BUT I guess the "easy" way is to order vendor juice and not DIY.

I put in a large order that supposedly shipped Priority yesterday...checked the tracking this morning and got this:
"Delivery status information is not available for your item via this web site. A return receipt after mailing may be available through your local Post Office."
What???? This the first time I've seen this on USPS tracking.

I placed an order on the 8th and USPS is still stuck on "Shipment accepted". Still says "Expected delivery by 3/11". Nothing yet. Probably taking a world tour first.

I have had vapemail from the midwest/west coast mistakenly routed to Maine twice now (instead of to NY). While I think the USPS is generally efficient, they really can mess it up once in awhile.

Yeah, I thought about checking that thread...and then thought why add to my stress? It will probably make me more obsessively check my tracking when I should be more patient. In my case, they just sent it yesterday.

Hopefully you will both get the packages promptly---thats a good way to be when possible Stoney---not trying to worry you guys--I know about obsessing far too well

I've got to order soon...........
I'm already making another list and trying to resist hitting the order button until I get the big shipment. BTW, I checked the tracking again, and it's on the way. It's in notorious Bellingham, crossing fingers.

I wonder what salted caramel would taste like. I should have ordered it.
I did order it in my big shipment. I'll check it out when I get it and post. I'm anxious to try it, I happen to like eating salted caramel but don't know if I want to inhale it.

Which cherry flavor ? I'm always searching for that 70's popsicle cherry flavor.
Yes - which cherry flavor? I'm looking for a fruit cherry, not a candy cherry.

Mine is still stuck at shipment accepted since 3/8. Very aggravating. 5 days and it hasn't even left that damn post office yet. At least that's what tracking is saying. Also still says delivery expected 3/11.
It took 9 days for my last order to arrive. Some folks are having good luck, some are not. I would definitely mention this to ECX. They have a thread about it already on their vendor page. Good luck! :)

I almost posted there a few times. I keep giving it one more day to see if the status changes. If nothing happens today I'll post there.
I had an order form one vendor that said electronic shipping info received for 5 days. After I sent them an email, the next day it miraculously made it's way to the post office.
At least this one is at the receiving post office, but still sitting in a dark corner.

 @ probably taking a world tour

I've seen that many times where the tracking only shows that it was accepted. Then I can't seem to actually track it! Suddenly it's in my mailbox one day. They should rename "tracking" to something like "here's a tidbit of information but don't expect much more until you see the package with your own eyes" :D
