ECX is having a 15% off sale on flavorings Flavor15. I noticed they have some new express flavors that I didn't notice before like gummi bears among others. Anybody got that Hangsen Magic Mask yet?

what is this hangsen magic mask you speak of I only know of Flavorart magic mask

Odd that they'd sell the same flavor twice, with different names. Oh well, it's good to know. I like the fortune strike, so if it's ever out of stock I can just pick up some magic mix.
Yeah man, it's confusing sometimes. Hey, I'm vaping some Dragon Fruit from TPA and I'm wondering why it's so much stronger than FA. I went ahead and ordered a few sweet and fruit flavors directly from TPA. I haven't tried these since I was a newbie at DIY. Also the nic quality and equipment was awful a couple of years ago. I'm excited again! LOL

What flavoring are you using? I would recommend using a super concentrated flavor to start with. Such as ecigexpress Flavor express or tobacco express line. I also think that Hangsen flavorings are very good. The tobaccos have more of a real taste.

How did you make your cappuccino?

Sdh,

Okay, the TFA Cappuccino is scary strong. I made a batch at 8% and it still tastes like total smoke/burned/not good. I will try again at an even lower percentage.

I have not dismissed the idea of super concentrated flavors. The holdup now is the money I've spent on TFA flavoring. I just feel like I should have some success before I open another can of "worms" with a different manufacturer.

I have a couple FlavorArt flavors. Marshmallow, Coffee Espresso, and Amber(?). I can't remember what the Amber does, so I'll have to research that again. All these came from ECigExpress. Hangsen I've never checked out, but I will.

Thanks for the reply!

Actually none of these are synthetic (except the PG).

Here is what they taste or smell like:

Vanilla - Uhmm vanilla.

Malic Acid - tart green apple.

Damascenone - Rose, I've never eaten one and can't tell you what they taste like. I would guess it varies by variety, Yellow Rose of Texas, American Beauty? Mehh. I'd rather eat el-s-dee and listen to "American Beauty" than eat an American Beauty and try to listen to el-s-dee ...

Rose Oil - what is it with Dekang and the friggin Roses?

Rhodinol - sort of a flowery lemon

3-Methylcyclopentane-1, 2-dione - Caramel, Maple Syrup

Eleutheroside - Ginseng

Acetylpyrazine - depends on who you ask, corn chips, graham cracker, something like that.

Piperonal - this one is interesting. It is impossible to describe but if you have ever been exposed to it, unmistakable. A definite vanilla note but not like vanilla either. A little like root beer but not exactly that either. Piperonal is piperonal, and I can't describe it better than that. Get a little vanilla and root beer flavors and mix them and you'll be in the ball park.

The stuff on the list should not be hard to find if you really want it. But you won't manage to get piperonal, and if you did (you won't) getting piperonal will also get you the DEA busting your door down and get you a conspiracy to manufacture MDA/.... charge. Consider it unavailable to the general public, the rest, not much issue.

RobertNC,

I can't thank you enough for going to the trouble of making the post quoted above. Wow! No Piperonal for me, thanks!

Again, thanks!

Hi, I can share my experience with TPA Cappuccino. This flavor does not like direct heat, even at 1%. The coils gunk up and burns very fast.

Well, you know what? That is EXACTLY what it's doing. I have a Kanger ProTank and after I tried to vape the Cappuccino in it, then decided it was awful, I rinsed out the tank and coil and tried a different flavor. Guess what? The coils had gunk on them and from the Cappuccino. I had to clean the coils. Yuck! BTW, the coil in the tank was brand new.

Maybe the TPA Capp. is like the TPA Caramel Capp.? When that one is mixed at an amount you'd mix other flavors at it tastes burnt and overpowering (at least that's what I've read). It's often mixed really low - 1 drop in 10ml base.

Leothwyn, I think the cappuccino may be bad. See previous post.

Thanks for your post, though.

BTW, nice signature!

I'm sorry you lost a coil. I just had to share this. I don't like to see people go through a lot of trouble of wasting coils and juice ingredients. I was so frustrated when I kept on trying to dilute, vape, replace coil like 10 times. LOL

Jimi, I resurrected the coil by flushing it out with hot water. The gunk came off. That's one of the reasons I like the Protank. Again, thanks for letting me know I'm not crazy.

When and if you decide to give coffee flavors another go I'd recommend all the coffees by Nature's Flavors particularly Kona Cream.
