hey guys, got a question.

I have a diy juice that i absolutely love. its better than pretty much anything ive ever had, except for one little thing. occasionally, and typically only when im chain vaping, it gives me a harsh hit on my throat on the exhale. nic level is just below 5 mg/ml.

using a plume veil w/ a .8 ohm dual coil w/ cotton (and have tried rayon for that matter) on a kbox at 40 watts (note- lower watts still can produce this harshness)

contains: (all tfa brand)

blueberry candy (vg)
fruit circles (vg)
pineapple (vg)
jackfruit (vg)
toasted marshmellow (vg)
and ethyl maltol 8% solution (pg)

the nic is nude nicotine in vg, and used wizard labs vg

these are mixed at equal parts. very simplistic i know, but all the flavor concentrates are at a 1:1 ratio.

wondering if i am just getting too much vapor in me too quickly.. or if its something in the juice. no commercial juice has really done this though.

again the harshness is ONLY on the exhale, and if i clear my throat/lungs it is much less likely to happen.

suggestions?

edit- hope i can find a way to get around this. it tastes divine. at times i can taste all the individual components depending on airflow and how freshly dripped it is, but also get things that aren't there like grape and mango and fruit stripe gum.. its like the most exotic juicier fruit gum ive ever had or concieved of. very complex and yet constantly enjoyable. never had a true adv.. and now i dont know if i want to vape anything else. beginners luck i guess...

Max VG should still be just as thin as PG and this is accomplished by thinning with water or saline. The wick could be saturated with the mix but this does not mean it's wicking efficiently. I've seen this time and time again with MAX VG. The whole idea of producing vapor is to produce steam from the mix. A thick liquid will produce poor steam a thin liquid will produce good steam. The simple solution is to thin it. Poor out a 10ml test sample of the mix and thin it. You will be amazed at the difference.

why would i doubt the ecf diy e-liquid guru?

man.. that seems like it did the trick! so far its MUCH smoother! might have dilluted the flavor a tad.. testing is still out on that.. but i can always make it at a stronger percentage (this is right at 20%) if i feel that way in the future.

kudus buddy!

ended up adding just a touch more water to the sample im working with.. its delightful. think the water has allowed the flavors to mingle/marry even more. such a rewarding experiment.

Saline works well also. It adds a bit of softness to the vape. As you mentioned you may loose a little flavor because your diluting but that's easy to compensate for. Just keep track of the percentage your diluting to then add back that amount of flavor and you'll be right where you were flavor wise. Using an e-juice calculator like eJuice Me Up - Best eJuice Calculator will help you make those calculations as it has a field for entering the percentage of water.
