Oh! and I never realized just how thick pure VG really is, thinking I might have to invest in some PG or pick up some everclear to thin the stuff out. Found out that I don't even really need nicotine anymore to enjoy vaping and would love to start down that road but it's just way too thick for cartos like that. Even at the 70/30 VG/PG (PG from the nicotine and flavors) ratio I'm using it's struggling to wick at times.

You can use distilled water. I haven't, but there are threads on it. Not to mention PG is WAY cheaper than everclear.

I've tried distilled water from a vendor before and all of the liquids I got with it were nasty, not sure if it was just bacteria growing in it or what but it wasn't pleasant. I've heard distilled water also can be an throat irritant which might explain some of what I got from those juices. Honestly I'm not sure and will probably try it on some of my own batches sometime soon. The reason I was thinking everclear is one, it's always nice to have on hand ^_^ and two I'm unsure of how PG is going to affect me since I've vaped pretty much pure VG (supposedly) from vendors. With the thickness of these juices I'm making though it makes me wonder how they were thinning them so much.

I started the DIY learning curve about two and a half months ago. I didn't have a bridgeless atty or Drip-O-Mizer handy until the last time I mixed. I use a Drip-O-Mizer from Liberty Flights. I had a little more success, last time I mixed, because I dripped the new flavors I was trying (sweet ones) as I went. I recorded my adjustments and did o.k. The thing I find is that no matter how you taste your mix, smell it, or inhale it you can't really get a handle on it until you vape it. I also find that steeping occurs, even if you don't steep, after you mix so that a flavor you mix and try and think you've nailed can change over time.

I sincerely hope you've read all of the DIY thread and handle your liquid nicotine with respect and are taking and keeping good notes. It would be a shame to nail that one flavor and not have it written down particulary if you have adjusted it!

I've lately been looking at other bridgeless attys to try but haven't taken the plunge since I still have several untouched Drip-O-mizers in reserve.

This is sooo true even after one day I could already taste a huge difference in the first one I mixed. Because of that I ended up just mixing a bunch of my different flavors all using the same ratios to kinda get a feel for how the base flavors taste after steeping for a bit. After about a week or so of letting em sit then I'll start thinking about adjustments and combinations. Although this blueberry/chocolate one turned out pretty damn good and it's only been sitting about 36 hours hehe could use a bit of sweetener or something though but I didn't order any of that. Oh and about the nicotine I always tell people to treat it for what it is, a poison, and I handle it as such. I would definitely recommend trying out a bridgeless 306 if you haven't already they're awesome. Kinda need a drip shield and gotta get a special drip tip for it but they rock.

I make my juice at 50/50. I have a reaction to PG in higher amounts then 50%, and still some small indicators at 50%. 50/50 wicks just fine in my normal dual coil cartos from Smoktech without any additional punches. Been using them for some months now with zero problems, get 6 days plus in a tank which is fine for my purposes.

If I have to go to 60VG 40PG and it's thicker I will use a drop or two of distilled water to thin. I don't want alcohol in my juice, I only clean really gunked up dripping atties in everclear or vodka, and then I lube them back up with PG or VG and blow them out to get rid of that taste.

Thanks I'll definitely check out the 306 bridgeless atty. BTW-Chocolate blueberry sounds delicious!:)

Oh it is! But I've just recently made one that is my all time favorite it's sooo good, 8% mango 2% pineapple (from TFA) with 70% vg, 20% pg nic coming out to 10mg. OMG it's so tasty and it wicks well too. I'm gonna buy a couple 30ml bottles and a bunch more supplies just to have a ton of this on hand. :D

Does the water ever irritate your throat? Seems like a few drops wouldn't be too bad might have to try it out. I mostly use boge 2.0 cartos so the main problem is just getting em wet enough initially. The juices I was using before making my own would absorb fairly quick but with this stuff I can't really do the condom filling method since they don't absorb fast enough. I gotta do like 4 drops, shake it all to the bottom, do another 4 drops, etc. Kinda time consuming but after all is said and done it seems to be working pretty good at 70/30. Gonna be ordering some straight PG and some more VG for making nicotineless ones, it's weird I can actually taste stuff again, and my sense of smell is returning. Never realized the actual taste of nicotine. I wanna get into using tanks now that I have a flavor that I absolutely love so might have to go with a 50/50 ratio I dunno.
