Iv attempted to make 2 flavors using guava and dragon fruit with a base of 3 MG nic high vg I'm mixing at about 20% flavor in 15 ml bottles and it seems the juice is just burning giving me an awful taste I can't use it on my drippers ranging from .15 and .20 and my atlantis burns if I go past 35 watts on my siegli all this is purchased from mt baker vapor is there something I'm doin wrong or is it just mabey the flavor I re wicked my darkhorse and within the second hit the cotton was burnt colored and I keep it saturated

How close is your "about"?
Why did you pick 20%?

Black gunk is usually carbon. Sweeteners are full of carbon. I haven't used those flavorings so I have no idea how much sweetener they may contain, but is seems that too much flavoring is your issue...

My about is mabey a little over or under I choose 20% cause there site recommend between 20 and 40 so for a first time go I figured 20% was a good starting point not sure if I can go lower cause the flavor is already pretty week

One of the joys and benefits of DIY juice is you can mix, vape, make notes then rinse and repeat. Try a 10% mix, try more PG, but keep records and keep track of what you are changing so you can zone in on what works for you.

Another suggestion is to keep a "base" mix that you know you like without flavoring (say 20mg nic with your ratio of PG/VG, boosted slightly on VG as your flavors will be PG). You can use that base mix to create 1/2 atty fills of what you are working on.

I can't imagine vaping anything other that unflavored at those builds. What were you vaping before starting diy? Also, what gauge wire are you using and diameter of coil?

I have to agree with the others, 10% total on the flavoring is a good place to start. I make mine at 90% vg, and it is perfect at about 12. It took me awhile to realize that less is more when it comes to DIY. With a dripper you should have no problem getting plenty of flavor, in fact I reduced the amount I used when I started using RDAs exclusively. I like to add a little vanilla to my mixes, as it seems to bring out the other flavors and sweeten without adding ethyl maltol.

I think i narrowed it down to the nic juice im using its from mt baker and its pre mixed unflavored at high vg 3 mg nic level and it seems to harsh
