hey all, you may remember this thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/535795-my-first-mix.html

after testing, i thought that the problem had to be the nic. long story short, contacted wl and they sent me another bottle. freshly made and everything. took about 2 days to ship.
did the basic tests...
pg - seems fine still
vg - seems fine still
new nic mixed down to 6mg in only vg (6mg is my normal vaping level) - idk because i dont have a good baseline to compare it. had some throat hit to it but nothing terrible.

mixed up a batch (3ml) of pg/vg/nic at 75%vg and 6mg... has a strong throat hit on exhale. after much thinking, i have figured out a way to describe the feeling that i recieve from this nic and the previous (what i thought is bad) nic. its like the dry hit or hit right before its dry. the inhale isnt bad but the exhale is very dry and forces me to take a drink before another hit. i'm testing on like a .8 ohm single coil build. this is quite discouraging because i dont know what else i can do and i dont want to sink money into this if it just wont work. tried adding some flavour gradually to it and it lessened the bad feeling but its still there

at this point, id like to know any suggestions without spending much more money. maybe someone has the time to test my liquids locally or is able to allow me to ship them what i have and see if they can make sense of it.

meiaefrlingo...this is my disappointment at the moment towards the situation

Testing on a .8 Ohm 28g single micro coil on igow4 and nemesis clone mod. Just vg was fine so I doubt it's a wicking problem. I'll try it on my all day setup (.24 Ohm 28g dual parallel micro coil) tomorrow.

I'm guessing you've already ruled out the possibility of a hot leg or hot spot?

this is a kindof dumb one but when I did my first diy I screwed up and put a vg base into the calculator I was using rather than a pg base which I had at the time. It threw my whole calculation off and made the mix come out completely wrong. Is there any possibility of something like that going on? Probably not, just throwing stuff against the wall to see if anything sticks.

If you vaped plain ol' vg by itself with your current setup and it was ok then it wouldn't be the wicking most likely...

Did you shake the concentrated nic before using it?

And mix well after adding it to the PG/VG?

^^ That too!

Have you tried a coil above sub ohm. I did sub ohm at 28 awg .6 - .8 and it was just to hot and burned the mix. I went to awg 30 micro coil at about 1.6ohm running it on a VB at 3.2 - 3.7v and it reduced the harsh exhale drastically. I think your running the coil to hot and this may be causing it.
