I want to do it but it will have to wait just a bit since I will only have 1 of the 4 flavorings

I am looking at the Scubabatdan's Calc and wow. I will have to play around because he has tabs for PG base, VG base, No Nice but the problem is my base is 50/50. But that shouldn't be too hard to overcome. I can use it's calculations and another one I found called the simple calculator and figure it all out.

I have one question, do you add any water/vodka/PGA?

Also noticed that his 'make a new recipe' section there isn't ripe banana listed. Not a biggie.

If you start off with a 50/50 nic juice mix in Dans calculator and want to keep it at 50/50 then you would have to change the amount of VG% depending on what nic level you are aiming for. Look in section 2 of the calculator and adjust the VG% amount in section 1 so the amount of no nic PG is equal to the amount of VG in section 2.

Example:
Starting with 50mg nic @ 50/50 PG/VG and going for 18mg final
you would have to set the VG % at 25.5

Aiming for 12mg strength it would be 31.3% VG

If you really want to get technical you would have to figure in the amount of flavoring that is PG based to get it accurately at 50/50. Getting it to 80/20 would also require a bit more math.

Well, I am alive. I was going to disappear for 2 days but no way I could stay away from these forums just for a joke.

Well, I started with my 50/50-36mg. I brought it down to 18mg with just VG (I have no PG yet.) I started with 12.5% Ripe Banana. not bad but weak. Went up to 20% and started to taste the banana; not quite strong yet - probably would be with 25% or so.

But this is about experimenting. In a 3ml solution I added 1 drop of menthol to see what would happen. The banana is still there but the mentol is surprisingly strong with just one drop. I can really tell it is there. It isn;t overwhelming the banana but is adding a bit of coolness to the vape. And with that added VG I am making huge clouds - when I exhale I can barely see my computer screen LOL.

I think when I get more room in this bottle I will bring up the banana some more and try a few drops of red hot cinn to see if I can come up with a banana-cinn flavor - kind of a take off on the cinn/pear listed here.

One thing I can tell I will need to better measuring equipment in the form of syringes. I am doing a lot of eyeballing which is ok in experimenting but when I get serious I will want better, more controlled measurements.

Time to ht up the local pharmacy -- 5 ml oral syringe should get you set there, with 0.2 ml markings; just ask at the desk, I think they gave me 5 last time I went in. I did send a few of the 15 ml plastic beakers, good for the bulk liquid mixing, though who knows if they'll survive

(I use the beakers to make it easier to get at things -- pour nic into one, take out what I want with syringe, then pour the rest back in the nic bottle, then I do the PG, etc.)

I hit up Target pharmacy and got 2 syringes (.1ml markings.) They wouldn't give me more - so I will hit up the other Target by me and get a couple more. And good tip with the beakers.

I've gotten syringes from food chains as well as classic pharmacies. A couple from each of a couple gets you set up well.

The extra flavoring in tob4 really works well for me.

If you ever use Capt Black tobacco flavoring, just a few drops of TA works well with it, too -- like maybe 2 drops per 10 ml.

Also, Mark specifically, when you say a drop that is a bit subjective. I have seen people say 20 drops = 1 ml. So 4 drops would be just under .25ml. Would you agree that is about what your drop measurement is for TA.

Put it in some hot water...just from the tap is fine. give it 2 mins and it's easier to handle.

By drop that's about it -- I got my TA from PA, they included a regular little dropper for each bottle. So, 4 drops per 10 ml of final liquid probably is about 0.15 ml of TA.

If you have a dripper bottle with the TA in it, I'd try using it as-is. Be gentle -- just say 2 drops, shake the mix, vape test, then add another drop or two if it's still weak. Nudge the TA until you get a flavor you like. It's strong enough that you actually do just work in couple of drop increments.

The nice thing with the tobacco is that it's hard to muck up, unless you way overshoot the TA. My tob1 was like that

Nope.. unless u want a lil PGA or sweetner.. and it will come out lower than 18mg, once ur done

I've noticed a lot of Midwest pifers as well as a good amount of Michiganians. Here's my idea for a DIY flavor that maybe someone can help me out with... I would give just about anything to be able to vape a solid Vernors type flavor!

I was in MI last weekend for the Michigan/Umass and Michigan State/Notre Dame games and thankfully remembered to grab a few 12 packs to bring back to MA. Unfortunately they are quickly disappearing! How awesome would it be to have that unique Ginger Soda flavor to vape at my leisure!

Any ideas how I might go about it???

Vanilla is a major ingredient as well, and also Bickford's has a Cream Soda flavoring but I haven't tried it.

I made an interesting flavor that tastes like the candy apple things at the carnival. For 15ml use 12ml base with nic, 1ml of apple, 1ml of caramel, and 1ml of cinnamon.

As I recall vernors is a ginger but a relatively unsweetened one (unlike ginger ale) - I would think a cream soda would be too sweet - unless it was used to slightly sweeten the ginger to almost take the bite out.
