Has anyone tried something like this? Putting the liquid on a piece of gum, or something else you can put in your mouth, instead of vaping it? Of course it wouldn't be the same as vaping, because the nicotine would be absorbed more slowly through your gums instead of lungs, but if you are concerned about inhaling the chemicals (diacetyl and others) in certain flavors, then maybe oral administration is an alternative? Since all the ingredients except nicotine are approved for use in food, it shouldn't be very risky at all. As long as you get the amount of nicotine right. I feel like regular e juice is probably too concentrated for this, if I soaked a cotton ball in my favorite liquid and put it in my mouth I think it would result in a minor overdose and ER visit. Anyone have an idea about the right concentration? Maybe just start at 1mg/ml and go from there?

NO idea how you'd come up with the right amount of nicotine though. That would involve more math than I am up to. But honestly, why not? Not sure I'd want to be a test rat for it, but how would it be any different than what we do as vapers? Someone, somewhere, came up with the idea for e-liquid. No offense, but I'm kind of scratching my head over the mad face emoticon above.

Here's an old thread that talks about it....http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/miscellaneous/1285-diy-nicotine-candy.html

I haven't done that, but I have made a mouth spray, and it does work. You have to figure out how many sprays the bottle holds, what your average daily nic intake is, how much nic you need per spray, AND find a strong enough flavor to cover up the NASTY taste of the nic. I ended up with lemonade flavored MIO, made for flavoring water.

It takes lots of experimentation and lots of math. Be safe. :) :vapor:

ETA....Go to the 6:30 mark and watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jnYGXUD-Fs&list=UUTkiK2o-mzk5vsf-xiqnlwA. That's where I got my idea for mouth spray. :)
