First I'd suggest finding some recipes you might enjoy to make a shopping list of ingredients you will need.

DIY is a fun and frustrating hobby. It's very rewarding to make a quality juice you love, and even better when someone wants to buy a bottle from you. It is not a hobby that as soon as you start you're great at it, so read as much as possible.

There is a safe way to avoid the whole recipe issue when starting out. Get PG, VG, nic, and some mixing paraphenalia like syringes, flasks and empty bottles then use those to dilute a commercial eliquid you use and like. Mix pg, vg and nic in the same percents as the premix and simply dilute the premix. Any time I've done that a 25/75 mix of premix to unflaored worked fine. Now you're saving money and the pressure's off. Play with flavors at your leisure. I don't know where you buy nic in the Uk. I get mine from myfreedomsmokes.com, 100mg/ml in 1 liter bottles.

I use 1% flavoring and 10mg nic per ml. My cost of ingredients is 1.1 cents (US) per ml. 8 cents a day $30 a year.
