Northern NJ native , Coastal NC now.
herb 7 ml of 100 mg per ml nic and then add 21.5 Mls of vg and 21.5 Mls of pg would give you a final result of 50 ml of 14 mg / ml nic
of course if you add flavours under the flavour at 10 % the pg value would change under mixing or how to make it and you would need to add 5 ml of flavour and only 16.5 ml of pg to come to the final result of 50 ml of fluid at 14 mg/ml nic in a 50 /50 base

Thanks a lot Caro123

Yep MFS gets about 1/4 of my business. I am very satisfied with them.

If you like MFS you should try VaporsTec "throat hit" nic , it's $10.00 for 120ml of 100 mg but imo is superior in every way to MFS nic .

I say "throat hit" because in reality it's super smooth and incredibly clean and cheaper than the regular nic , after i mix and shake, the stuff clears up almost instantly , really blew me away .

Thanks for the tip Herb, but I have 2 years or more worth of nic in the freezer now.
Is MFS supposed to be a hard throat hit nic?

Just placed my first DIY order w/ Wizard Labs. Spent $66 to get free shipping. Grabbed 500ml VG, 120ml 24mg VG nic, 18 flavors, AP, EM, smooth, 2-10ml and 2-1ml syringes w/ 14ga needles for VG and nic, 5-1ml syringes for flavors (will just wash between mixes for now and grab a lot on eBay later), and 5-30ml glass bottles to add to those on hand to mix and heat steep in. Have 50-10ml bottles from eBay on the way to steep individual flavors for tasting. I vape 3mg so 24mg will allow me to mix over 900ml. That way I'll only need extra VG which I can grab locally to insure I stay off B&M juice. WL states they can take up to 5-6 days to process nic orders. Could've gotten by with fewer flavors but wanted an early start to the upcoming blueberry wars. And I strongly doubt one can have too many creams. It's nothing short of silly how excited I am to get started. I feel like I'm 5 and waiting for an epic Christmas Lego haul.

Just curious here.... All of these "Premium e-juice" companies out there... and im talking the well known and respected ones that are out there charging 12$ for 15ml and 22$ for 30ml.... Do you guys think they are using anything different or of better quality then what we get from say Wizard labs?? I'm pretty certain im not going to get anywhere close to making premium quality ejuice at first but do you guys notice that after alot of trail and error that the e-juice you make is on par with some of the more well known out there??? I mean you you guys feel confident selling some of your mixes to someone if they asked???

I sell a mix here and there. But only when someone wants me to make a fkavor I don't have. I give away a lot of juice. But no one gets my custard. That is mine and I don't share lol

And I could be wrong but I taste FA apple pie in gambit.

Once you get a couple mixes you like the experimentation is more fun. Because if it sucks you can just dump it. Or in my cases I let my kids and there friends cape it lol

No they are not using anything better... but they are paying cooks, or researchers, call them what you will, who know what flavours to use and in which proportion to get what they want. I can very often do that in the kitchen - I mean replicate a dish without a recipe but I'm not quite able to do that with ejuice. So there's a lot of hit and miss involved until I come up with something that is a pleasant vape. For all I know the manufacturers too have a lot of hits and misses which push up their costs. That said, I did buy juices for good money at the early stages of this journey which are either still here, almost untouched, or I have given away or literally thrashed because they were just awful.

I think the startup cost is minimal compared to killing coil costs with commercial juices that are overly sweet. You start adding up the cost of new heads and/or time to rewick or rebuild compared to a DIY juice. I'm vaping a 6% Hangsen highway with a added 3% tobacco absolute (80-20 blend) in my Russian on a provari with a 1.2 ohm 28gauge spaced coil with rayon and get over 6 refills before my coil begins to show signs of age, thats almost 25mls plus. Thats almost unheard of with a commercial juice so my time spent NOT replacing or rebuilding is money well saved in time. I can now barely vape some of my commercial juices since they are so sweet and also I've noticed I'm not as dehydrated vaping my unsweetened juices as I was vaping commercial juices.
I have all the sweeteners and never used them for my juices, IMO the VG is sweet enough for me.
Ebay through china I got some nice labware, mini funnels and glass syringes on the cheap and they seem to work just fine for me. They may have taken a month to get here but I'll watch a TA mature on the shelf for a month so there is really no difference...I'm patient.:)

I know every person is going to be a bit different here, but im sick of spending 10$ on 15ml, and 20+$ on 30ml of premium liquid from a B&M. Im also sick of taking a chance with some of the online juice sites that are cheaper just to be disappointing when i get the juices and throwing money down the drain. At least with DIY if i mix some nasty juice at least i know its my fault and i wont do that again. I just spent my vape budget this month only everything i need to start getting into RDA so im just trying to get an idea of about how much im going to need to save up to start DIY, and what im going to need.

What was your initial start up cost and what did you have to get you going with DIY...
Also after the inital cost, how much do you think you spend a month trying to create new flavors?

I know this is a tough question with a wide range of awnsers, but any help helps lol

Thanks

I spent about $45 online, including shipping, at RTSVapes. Bought pure VG, 60mg nic mixed w/PG, 50ml graduated cylinder, 50mm funnel, and a 30ml glass dropper bottle.

I make 90+% VG flavorless mixtures, works great. DIY is the way to go!

Have fun!
