Are there any larger type stores that carry flavoring, or do you need to buy the stuff online?
You can find lorann flavorings at various places. Wal mart and hobby lobby comes to mind. Many of the lorann flavorings are not very suitable for vaping though. Online is the only way i know of getting the bettrr brands.

You can find, but...
You have to be well versed in flavoring ingredients and bottle of flavor should list all ingredients. For example oils and diacetyl permitted in food flavorings but really bad for health when vaped. Many flavorings contain sugars, and sugars will gunk a coil in no time. Also they may have artificial colors. While some people do vape colored flavors, my preference is to avoid them.
Buying from vaping sites is safer and much simpler.

I have at least $100 worth of flavors I'll never use again. I have a whole bag full. I'll give them to somebody if they pay shipping. Flavors are the money waster.I can dig out the bag and provide a list. Lots of TFA and FW stuff. I also have a bunch of plastic pipettes i'll never use.

I still have a bunch of unused syringes from my initial order and other things that I will use over time so that is money well spent. Looking back, less is more when getting started. Avoid overloading yourself with piles of supplies and flavors. I bought a lot of stuff and it wasn't necessary. Anyone can do just fine with a couple 1-3-5-10ml syringes and small stash of 5-15-30ml bottles. Very cheap stuff. And the syringes last a long long time if you take care of them.

Now that I've been doing it a while, I mix much larger quantities and use 60-120ml glass bottles. Just keep refilling them with the same recipes. Easy as heck and I only mix once every 3 month or so.

I have a question about nic... So i mainly vape 3mg nic and mostly higher vg juice. Buying the super concentrated nic kinda freaks me out a bit i dont wanna start with that untill i know what im doing. So if i were to order say the 120ml of 12mg nic from wizard labs in VG would that mean the whole bottle is a consistent 12mg... like if i were to just pour that into a tank and vape that without anything in it it would be equivalent to me vaping a 12mg juice???

Nivek, get a very small bottle of diluted nic to start out. Once you see how easy it can be with simple precautions you won't sweat going with stronger stuff.

Use a calc for your mixes and print them out. I've been using the ejuicemeup calc since the beginning. Simple and easy. Just make sure you put in the right #'s to begin with and follow the recipe. It's easier than baking (which I suck at. lol).

One thing I like about 100mg strength (other than lower cost and smaller storage needs) is the simple math behind it. 10mg strength = 1ml of base for every 10mls of mix. Even with a recipe in front of me I like to have that part of the math memorized. You like 3mg so .3 for every 10.

I glued 1.5" cushion foam to a foam board and cut holes in it. Secures all my bottles upright when mixing. Zero chance of spilling. And as an added precaution I mix on a regular ole metal sheet pan. Even if a freak accident happens, anything spilled isn't going anywhere. I haven't had a single spill and I've been at this for almost 2 years now. I was nervous the first few times but never after that.

Thats what i figured, seemed like a silly question but would rather be safe then sorry. Seems like a much better idea to just get the nic premixed in vg right off the bat and just dilute it down with the flavors and a little bit of reg vg.
You can order sample 15 ml 100mg sample of nic from Nude Nicotine for $2. Good for testing, training and vaping for 2 weeks (at least for me).

Cant remember honestly, but I think it was around $50-60. I started at the end of November last year, bought a 120ml bottle of 100mg nic from Vapers Tek which was $16 including shipping. Got a crapload of free syringes from my mom whos a nurse. Spent about $15 or so buying 8 or 9 8ml TFA flavors from Wizard Labs. The rest of my kit was 250ml each of PG and VG, a 10 pack of 18ga needles, and a single 50ml conical vial, all from Nude Nicotine. Didnt bother buying bottles at the time because I had alot of empty 15ml dropper bottles from all the store bought juice and free stuff I had gotten from folks on here, as well as a bunch of 30ml glass bottles from the web vendor I used to get juice from.

The flavorings were enough to last me about 2-3 months or so making 10 and 12mg juice. I STILL have about half the bottle of nicotine left (Im down to 6mg now so its gonna last a bit still, even though I just bought two more last month), used up that first batch of VG back in February, and the PG I finally went through in March or April. For the price I paid, it was well worth it as that $50-60 wouldve only been like 5 bottles of juice bought at a store. The site I used to get my juice from was like $15 for a 30ml bottle. For the most part, I only bought their juice on Fridays, which is when they would have a sale on a certain number of flavors for $5 a pop. And even then, my favorite flavors werent always the ones on sale. Now I can spend literally pennies, and always have what I like on hand.

Yep, but shake it first and straight PG is pretty rough to vape. Get a 12 mg 50/50 pg/vg mix.

When I started I got a 15 ml dripper bottle of 100 mg nic. one drop = 5mg as labelled on the bottle. So if I mixed 10 ml of juice and wanted 10mg/ml nic I used 2 drops per ml or 20 drops.
I currently run 5mg/ml nic and still use the same bottle to drop 1 drop of nic per ml of mix. I have only refilled it 3 times and been DIY'ing for 6 months. Quicker and less trouble than a syringe.

Northern NJ native , Coastal NC now.
I started by buying 120ml of PG based nic at double the mg i usually vape at , i use to vape at 20 mg nic so i bought 40 mg . I added the same amount of VG so now i had 240ml of 50/50 nic at 20 mg .

I don't do that anymore, much much more cost effective to buy 120ml of 100mg nic and cut it down . Since i'm a complete idiot i requested help to figure out how to break it down , as you can see the person who helped me said "it doesn't get easier than that my friend" . Well, i need it easier than that but apparently it's not possible.

I think it was 25 bucks, just some flavorings and nic base. I used the bottles I already had from the crappy ones I got online. Every time I buy some from online I get mad at myself because it never tastes good.

I poured some base into a bottle.. added some flavoring in drops. Done and good. I still do that now. I know basically what I like. A couple drops of this a couple drops of that. Let the flavors sit in the sun and air out. Add some base and some vg. All from eyesight. Takes too much time to measure.

I print my formula on my bottle label.
most go something like this.
PEACH
10 ml 40/60
12 drops nic (I only buy 100mg)
2ml FC Peach
15 drops Stevia

That is for my original peach recipe. I now add some ripe peach flavoring .5 ml. Is better than just using either flavor alone. And the TFA ripe peach flavor is too perfumy if you use much of it.

I just triple everything if making 30 ml batches which is my largest batch size.
And label the bottle accordingly.

And yes if you do the math the 10 ml batch winds up being about 12.5 ml. I use 15 ml bottles for a 1`"10" ml batch gives shaking room too.

Got my nic at MFS too. Decent nic but then I have only tried nic from there and some DR nicotine base I got from Amazon. Which was sold as a nicotine lozenge refill. I could not tell any difference in the two.
I took a piece of seasoned cherry wood and drilled several holes in it of sizes to hold a 10ml glass vial, 10ml plastic bottle and 15 ml bottle. And a couple of holes to hold old medicine vials to stand pipettes and syringes in. Works great and looks good. I routed the edges with an ogee bit and put a bit of boiled linseed oil on it.
