I should not of procrastinated and done this a year ago.... I am wanting to get into diy. I've read many of the threads here @ecf and others on the ol' interweb. Tons of great information! Thank you all!!!

I have a couple questions that I'd like input from other diy ers here at ecf...

What is the best way to transfer nic, and vg from the original container, with the least amount of waste?...

Graduated cylinders, or syringe, what sizes and/or both???

Grams or ml? Should I weigh? Or measure?

Where to get bottles?, plastic or glass? and how many do you use?...

I appreciate all the comments!! Thank you in advance!

I sure hope the powers that be here in the USA don't ruin this awesome non smoking, anti stinky phenom that vaping has created!!! I was a smoker for over 30 years! Tried the rest, vaping put them to rest!!! Smoke free for over 14 months thanks to vaping!!!

I'm now transferring with a syringe to a beaker placed on a scale. It's a pretty simple & spill-less method.

Syringes are cheap enough you may as well get one of each in graduated sizes. The blunt needle is the critical part because VG is so thick. I found these 12 ga that work very well.

My 15, 30 & 60 ml amber glass bottles with eye droppers also came from Amazon, as did the scale. Choosing a scale is difficult & the first one I bought was the wrong one. The one most recommended on ecf is the American Weigh Scales LB-501.

Good Luck,CbrVapeRR. DIY is fun, economical, & may become necessary.

I'm just starting DIY too. KentA gave you a good start. This is the scale I got from Amazon: http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CFP0NFA?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00
Either one should be fine.
You should also get a calibration weight: http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0010TGEQE?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00
Use it once to calibrate. Use it forever as a paperweight or bug killer.

I've been using the Juice Calculator. Download links on first page: https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/threads/new-calculator-to-try.480587/
Mixing by weight has been a great thing for me since percentages are above my smart level.

I'd also recommend gloves when handling nicotine: http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B001V9UQU8?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=od_aui_detailpages00

I didn't get the flasks or beakers. Mix directly into the bottle from syringes.

I'd also get some 10ml or 15ml plastic bottles for test batches.

DIY has opened a whole new road for me.
Good Luck!

ETA: Plastic funnels for transferring large amounts. Labels.
