Opus200 is the only one that's on sale now. VS announced but they're saying by the end of summer now. I'm sure Protovapor and Hana will come out with one soon. I think the DNA200 is in limited pre-release. I should have 2 boards by Sat.

As far as I know Opus is the only one who has released a device at this point. Many mod makers are working on their DNA200 devices tho.... preface this with the fact that the 200 is currently in the "early adopter" stage and the beta process is still active. The formal release of the 200 is still not announced. Mike did a co-op and those boards are hitting the hands of those in the co-op now (I think 85 or so boards). Several vendors have the bare boards available now also and are being sent out to customers. Lots of 3D printing of enclosures is being done as modders come up with their designs.
Wait... So if I get a board right now from a vendor in the UK, I'll be getting an 'early adopters version' which might suffer hardware changes before official release?
I'm not speaking about firmware (which is upgradable thank God).

No, the hardware won't change per John at Evolv, just the firmware which is an easy flash update.
It's a possibility I suppose...but if a hardware glitch comes up that could cause a real malfunction I think you'd be covered by the warranty. I'm not worried about that one. I'll think of something else to worry about if I get the time.

Great. So I decided to "think" last night before buying the Opus from house of vapor. Then realized that the nickel that appears as bronze on HOV's website is actually the silver looking color that is on Opus's website. So before decided to order today, I emailed Opus asking if they would be producing any Nickel Opus 200s. Did not get a response and so I decided I would order a black at 3:00 p.m when I got home. At 1:00 it was sold out already. Sooooooo mad at myself right now. My luck, its going to be weeks before HOV or Opus produces any more of these mods.
I would think the elves at Opus are working overtime to get a new batch out, they basically have the entire 200 market all to themselves.
Just called House of Vapor and spoke to Kevin. I'm not sure that I should be saying this (although I don't see why not), but they said they had an Opus or two in the store for sale and after checking with the sales manager, let me purchase it on the phone.
Just want to give a thumbs up to House of Vapor and the customer service there. Kevin was really nice (not just because he surprised me in a really good way), but the whole transaction went nicely.

The design of the Opus200 is not the best.
The visible mounting screws and the off-center display is not acceptable for me.
The small and not easy to operate fire button by the two humps is another shortcoming.
Therefore, it is not a pity that the Opus200 are not delivered to Germany.

I am beginning to believe that Evolv is holding Vaporshark,Hana and everyone else back until Opus can up there production and get a larger market share.
I got the black Opus. Unfortunately, I won't be able to provide any unique pictures then.
I'm not sure if this is news to anyone but I was told told that other colors will be coming soon outside of black and nickel. I like to keep things simple though and figured gray would really have been the only other color I would have been interested in.
And Spirometry you might be onto something about Evolv holding back other DNA200 mods so that Opus can grab market share...certainly worked on me.

Nah. They're way too smart, I doubt they would try to compete with their best customers. My guess is the existing guys are having to re-work their all designs more than they thought because the chip size and battery options are so different this time.
Evolv as a company wants to sell chips. Opus as a company owned by one of the partners in Evolve leveraged design knowledge to get an enclosure to market soon....and will take the heat for any early issues. If anything it is a slow and steady roll out with the other big players making certain they are not sending hundreds of chips or mods back to Evolv. The method at play will likely make the Hana/Vaporshark mods spot on when they break.
Looks like Delaware Vapor has some Nickel ones ... have never dealt with them, but just in case anyone is still after one ...
