Don't mean to high jack a thread about the DNA200 with my questions about the Opus, but has anyone else's come 90% charged? Not used to getting mods with internal batteries and, instead, am used to getting 18650s about half charged or less, hoping no one played around with mine before sending (hopefully just paranoia).
Also, I can't wait to see what the VS200 looks like considering the Opus is this small (for me), and the pictures make the DNA200 look only ever so slightly larger.

A bit bigger than the rDNA which is still a pretty small mod. That's why I'm waiting for the VS version. But I don't know how long I can hold out. I got my 2 DNA200's sitting in a box with no enclosure. Just got the screws that hold it down to the mount today.
There's a NJ Vape Expo this weekend and I think I'm gonna come home with any DNA200 device I can buy there. VS is supposed to be there

You think they'll actually have a Vapor Shark 200 or another DNA200 mod though? I mean I could see there being a custom or two. I might be mad at myself then if I see the VS and its much smaller than the Opus a few days after I got it (not sure how much smaller is physically possible given everything crammed in there, but still). I live about 30 minutes away and hoping I can get an RDA and a tank that are more capable of keeping up with the power from the 200.

They had the rDNA40 before release at an expo in FL. The board's been shipping for a couple of weeks now. I'm sure there will be some DNA200 mods. My 3d print case comes at the end of the month so worst case, I'll have a working DNA200 before the end of the month.
Well this thing.. looks like it might be ugly. 3 18650's or even lipo's? Good god, that must be one massive brick! 200 watts?? I thought the sigelei 150w was biig enough but this dna 200w is on a whole new level of, "Daaaaaayum, What the hell is that thing?"I just don't like it.
I actually considered getting the upgradable sigelei 100w tc but it's ugly to. So I ended up ordering the sigelei 75w tc. Hopefully this thing isn't too big and it doesn't have any issues. Anyways to each their own, Happy vaping everyone!

Have you just not seen some of the really compact devices carrying DNA200 chips displayed in this thread? I'm not attacking you, I just want to know where your opinion is coming from. Personally, I prefer performance over aesthetics (and honestly don't think that the Sigelei 75 watt is any better looking, or significantly smaller, than the Vapor Shark 200 or even the Opus at the price you pay in power, flexibility, and increased ability to customize and tailor to each individual's tastes. But hey, looks are subjective so I respect your opinion)

I would call it shorter but still 50% larger in volume than what I'm holding.
Battery suppliers typically hold the charge at about 40~50% of capacity because this best preserves battery life. My guess is that Evolv is charging the battery to full and maybe running some tests to ensure that the LiPo isn't defective or underperforming. For example, if they are still buying batteries from a supplier like HobbyKing, they pretty much have to do their own quality control.
