I guess I was going to put a DNA40 board in my Waidea flask 'cause my Kester 951 flux came today but did something else. Oh by the way I planned on using rosin core solder with that, is that going to be OK?
Got my Velocity clone and built that with dual coil twisted Kanthal, will do ni later, needed something to compare to.
But my post is to say that my black kayfun 4 clone with ni200 is greatly improved now that I made some minor modifications to it.
I only use rosin core solder. Works fine with Kester 951.

I tried the upside down afc screw but bending the bottom of the spring in seems to be the best fix.

I'm not sure if you have seen how I do it but I use a short piece of a toys remote control antennae.

200 watts, Temp Protect, firmware upgrade-able......
-3S LiPo (You could use three good 18650s, and it also supports LiFePo. )
-Individual cell monitoring
-Full balance charging integrated into the board

.. all I can say right now....sorry for the poor quality of my picture...

the temperature control works from 1w to 200w? or up to only a certain point?

I'm considering using some Poron flame ......ant foam along the top and bottom of my batteries to provide some impact absorption and fill gaps when using batteries that are shorter than the maximum size one of my designs can accommodate. Some of Poron's applications include electrical boxes and in electronics, but I'm concerned about its thermal properties and don't want to overheat a battery. Does anyone have any experience with Poron foam (PORON® FOAM (MICROCELLULAR POLYURETHANE)?

It's an incredibly good thermal insulator. But, I'm not sure that will be any worse than having just a little bit more room without the foam. Unless you have active cooling, like a fan, there's not much air flow through the boxes vents or convection air current flow inside the box. The foam might not cause much more heating at all.

There are thermal interface materials in sheet form that could be used as padding. If you have a metal case then a sheet of this stuff along one face of the pack could get a decent chunk of heat to the case wall. Not a lot, and you'd have a temperature gradient across your pack (making balance charging all the more important), but it would be better than no cooling at all.

Be forewarned that the USB port may need to be sanded/filed .5mm...some fit, some don't based on the print. I am making the opening bigger to allow for slop, but the round you and I are getting will likely need a small bit of hand work...

It was the same with the 1590a lid I used. I ordered the beta on that one and also had to adjust the board mounting depth with jewelers #1 brass washers. Sure he fixed it with the revision. Also had the screen issue your beta had. It's all good, I'll make it work

I'll build a DNA200 mod myself before I'll go for a "ready-to-vape" mod. My case is going to be printed next week. If I like the chip I'll wait for the Vaporshark DNA200. I'm just so in love with the design of my rDNA40 that I already miss it after being out for a repair.
I hope it arrives tomorrow. I already prepared a hot tub and some meditation music for my honey :D
    Just kidding.
