  1. Soooo I put the battery in my VaporShark rDNA 30 backwards today (like a dummy, wasnt paying attention) and obviously the board fried. I've taken out the Samsung 25-R I was using and it doesn't seem to be taking a charge on an external charger. I know the DNA is shot, but did the battery get damaged as well?

The battery shouldn`t have a problem, are you sure the charger you are using works. Sorry for your VS :(

That's a drag JC, sorry to hear that the VS fried. Racehorse is right they may be able to fix it and upgrade you to the DNA40. It has protection and you'll get the temp control.

They have a repair service specifically to replace fried DNA30 boards ($80)

rDNA Repair - Mechs / Mods - Advanced

They have seperately stated there will be a DNA40 upgrade option for the rDNA, $100 including return of your DNA30 board, but I don't think they have made the upgrade service available yet.

Agreed about a device as well respected as VS doesn't have reverse battery protection, charging $80.00 + is ridiculous imo .

It isn't VS who doesn't have reverse battery protection. Its the Evolve DNA30 board that doesn't. I think the reason it happens more on the VS is that the battery should be installed upside down?
