cool, once it's all dry and working good you really should consider doing something to waterproof it a bit or it could keep happening and each time it's worse, eventually may damage it beyond recovery. I should talk, I still haven't sealed mine up either and yesterday I got juice in it again :( it's home now, out of commision again. juice is the dnas achilles heal I guess :)

the dna20 takes a lot of patience and rule #1 when it comes to installing in a bottom feeder especially, is it needs to be kept dry. reo's always going to have the potential of getting juice inside of it. it can be very frustrating at times but as long as it's kept dry and isn't physically damaged it's got great longevity and it works awesome. most other mods of dna20's don't have as much juice issues. I think I've read places that boggerbox or whatever they are had this same problem with there dna20 bottom feeders too, juice killing dna's.

is all the frustration worth it to finally get to the finished and torture tested successful build? that all depends how much patience you got :) you either learn from your mistake and correct it and finally get to a successful mod or you let it beat you. don't let it beat you man, take a breather :) the key is to fully waterproof the thing, only way it's going to last for years, which it really should if it don't get damaged or wet. you came this far, you can beat it :)

I'm going to pick up some of that neverwet as soon as i can get my hands on another dna, I really think that might be the solution. hopefully it' s as impervious to the juice as it is to water

I'm at lost. Cause the dna is working but the screen has no display.

Its super dry and when I was testing it, it wasn't even in the reo. I have the dna wired out of the reo.

Screen jyst isn't working. I checked the cablw and wverything is fine.

I can still use it and hell I truthfully just want it for battery life..

So worst case ill use my old chip where I removed the damaged screen and run it without a display.

problem is the board needs to be all soldered up before it gets coated, and to send it out you'd have to pigtail it first. having to pigtail it then coat it and then deal with the additional connection bulk at the pigtails it's just easier to coat it on site after it's all wired in.

t1ivi, if it's not juice damage then it could of course be physical damage to the screen itself. many guys rip the ribbons or rip the ribbon off the board, but there is also a delicate area at the ribbon to screen connection that's easily damaged too.

I've seen and talked to a few guys about using the dna without the display, I've considered that too at a few points, but I would much rather have the display than not. if you do decide to run screenless then your def going to want to use an adjusting pot instead of up/down buttons to make it easier to adjust and know where you are. truth is that a mod with dna on board with no display will still give all the other advantages of having the dna on board. even if you do decide to go that route though, you still need to protect it against liquid damage
